Maybe a little off track here but, I ordered a blasty jersey for my kid on the 17th of dec. Still hasn’t come and I’ve received no email about it. Should I call them?

Yes. Assuming it was ordered from the CGY Team Store I’ve always received an email and the shipping has been extremely quick. I’d call them.

Uniform related, not sure if it has been mentioned, but Colorado has gone to blue helmets, gloves and pants for their home uniform, replacing the black gear they’ve used for dark jerseys since moving to Denver.

I don't love that, but I like it. I like when teams just fo with their colors and ditch the black.

They did it for both sets, away included. The home definitely looks better than the away IMO, but I think I preferred the look of the black pants and helmet. It looks more intimidating and makes you think back to those great Avs teams of the late 90s and early 2000s.

Yeah, honestly, the new helmet/pants/whatever kind of suck. They look a bit silly now, totally changes the look of the jersey and loses the callback to when they were a powerhouse.

That has to plop them right into a spot for one of the worst overall uniforms in the league.

I think they're genuinely awful.

I spoke to a designer friend of mine who thinks it's a more cohesive look. I can see the rationale and the theory behind it, but it's hard to get past how it just looks dumb.

Home looks OK, the whites are gonna be terrible with those pants.

The avalanche have been messing with their badass original look through the years. Around the year 2000 they lightened the blue and changed from crimson to an awful maroon color. Just wasn't the same after that.

I like the concept but would have been a lot better if the color of the helmet actually looked like it matched the color of the jersey.

I hated the black the Avs used and I think it’s a slight upgrade, but still not great. I think they just have ugly uniforms though. Not much they can really do with them to make them look good.

I have the Blasty jersey, but I don't think I have quite as much zip on the fastball.

yeah I ordered my custom Backlund on the 16th and it still hasn't shipped yet. Hopefully soon!

Those are for the reverse retros. The away jersey has the blue pants. It looks awful as there is almost no blue on the jersey itself. You can see it in NHL 21

This is my beef as well. If you're going to have blue helmets they need to match the blue of the fabric otherwise it just looks like a div 2 hockey team with a limited budget.

Could the avs have gone with burgundy pants but blue helmets?

Anyway they’ve worn the black for 25 years... it’s become part of their uniform in my opinion so they should have kept it and I like the black look better anyway.
