The couple made an even larger donation near the end of Trump’s re-election bid, contributing a staggering $75 million to a Super PAC affiliated with his candidacy.
I’m glad he lived long enough to see Trump lose the presidency, house, senate, and make America great again.

Accordingly to some Republican propaganda, a vote for a democrat is a vote for banning cheeseburgers

Spoiler!
Doesn't the Green New Deal essentially promote eliminating Cattle raised burgers? Yes the pamphlet in question doesn't note the nuance difference between cattle raised and lab created, but my guess is the voter they are writing too wouldn't consider that a lie.

I am confused, but this article seems to imply burger access would be greatly reduced:

Let's be honest, most of them would probably be better off not eating so many cheeseburgers.

So the House is currently debating the bill requesting Pence to invoke the 25th and remove Trump. As soon as that assclown Gym Jordan started speaking I had to turn it off. Aside from McConnell, dude might be the biggest prick in Congress. Of course he's still pissing and moaning about Pennsylvania.

As expected, GOP members are trying to frame this as the Democrats being the ones who are dividing the nation and stoking violence by calling for the removal of Trump. "Please guys, let's just forget about this, move on, and heal the nation!"

You kind of get the sense of what lies throughout the GOP. And trying to confuse or at least throw a bit of a thin veil over that by using the Antifa ghost and far left deep state imaginary monsters.

"No! We are not the real monsters! Look over there! There's your monster!" /nothing is over there.

People like Jim Jordan are the worst. They say the country needs "healing" and use that as an argument against impeachment, but still stand behind that ludicrous lie that the election was stolen. If you want "healing", how about you start telling the ####ing truth?! Nauseating.

I haven't read too much into the Green New Deal, but that article actually makes it sound pretty awesome. That is definitely the direction we should be heading.

There is virtually nothing in AOC's Green New Deal that explicitly talks about animal-based agriculture, so the actual impacts of any GND-type legislation on animal agriculture would need to come out in the details; any further discussion is conjecture (and often, fear-mongering). The closest it comes it a call to "work collaboratively with farmers and ranchers in the United States to remove pollution and greenhouse gas emissions from the agricultural sector."

A more likely approach than banning animal-based agriculture is something where the carbon footprint of animal-based agriculture is accounted for in the cost. This means the cost of meat would increase, but because there are market forces at work here, there's a limit to how much they could increase; it may be that in a decade, if you go to a fast food restaurant, you may have the choice of a cheap plant-based burger, a moderately priced hybrid burger, or a gourmet-priced all-meat burger. Obviously nobody likes more expensive prices for something they like, but the trade-off that the GND intends is healthier food at less cost, which would have an enormous impact on the healthcare system in the US where there's a direct corelation between low income -> crappy processed food -> high obesity -> high medical costs.

Now why would of this taken so long? I know these things move slow but it seems like the investigation was a long time ago, no?

I can only imagine there was some political pressure from up top preventing them from moving forward.
