A bit of a derail, and I am sure it is buried somewhere in this thread, but what is up with the thread poll? 9 votes and only 66% towards Biden on a Canadian Forum?
I voted for Trump before they cut it off.

Rule number one about the poll: We don’t talk about the poll.
Sounds like Trump will be awarding the Medal of Freedom to Bill Belichick on Thursday. No word on if he'll be there to personally accept it like those other two morons, Annika Sorenstam and Gary Player.
New England Patriots coach Bill Belichick has turned down President Trump’s invitation to receive the Presidential Medal of Freedom in the wake of the riots last week at the U.S. Capitol.
Belichick, who has previously spoken publicly about his friendship with the president, had agreed to receive the nation’s highest civilian honor after Trump offered it over a week ago. That was before a mob of the president’s supporters laid siege to the Capitol, leaving five people dead.
News of the offer to Belichick only emerged Sunday, prompting questions over whether the most accomplished coach in football history would stand by his friend amid the controversy.
Belichick’s pivot is a sharp rebuke of a president who has faced calls from Democratic lawmakers, and some Republicans, to be removed from office. His decision comes just days after Trump awarded the medal to Gary Player and Annika Sorenstam, two of the best golfers of all time. Player and Sorenstam have faced criticism for associating with the president in the wake of recent events.

My first thought was that the Iranians had followed through on their threat to strike the Capitol, but a police officer took over the podium and explained that violent demonstrators had breached the entire perimeter of the Capitol and were inside.
If due to being her on the Intel committee, was aware of an Iranian threat to strike the Capitol, then her instant reaction is founded and reasonable.
Speaking of people I don't like... at all... Bill Belichick turns down the Presidential Medal of Freedom from Trump. I... I... I'm so conflicted. Do I have to like Belichick now? I mean Nicholas and Orr endorsed Trump, but Belichick says no?

No, you don't have to like him. He said no because of the riots, which means he was okay with everything else Trump did for the past four years.
Plus, he's Bill Belichick.

CNN had a good bit earlier showing some of the GOP idiots who warned that Trump was bad for America and then went ahead and supported him for four years anyway.
I almost forgot about that Romney speech during the primary.

Agreed... I mean, he deserves some credit for turning down a clear photo op for Trump, but like everyone else jumping ship now, it was so obvious where Trump's inflammatory rhetoric would lead...
the Wapo Opinion piece someone had previously posted is brilliant.

I understand that there might be some confusion about what exactly I’m doing, and why I’m doing this now, but I don’t think there should be. I am objecting, on principle, to staying on this Death Star for a single additional second. To those of you who would question my motives: I did know for a long time that the place I worked was a Death Star, but I have to say, until today, I didn’t understand that it was also very vulnerable to assault by a small one-man fighter because of a design flaw!

While I wish Romney would have been harder on Trump, he has at least been consistent in his criticism of him. He voted along party lines which indirectly helped Trump I suppose, but that is a product of party politics in general. At least he voted to convict him before.

I don't like Romney. Him used words too big. Trump just promised to make America Great again!! How can you argue with that?
Just for clarification and If it was a joke it completely went over my head but there is a dance craze going around already called the floss.... im sorry if you already knew that lol

With the death of one of the Kochs and now Adelson, maybe the conservative gravy train will begin to dry up.
as long as his wife is alive that gravy train won't dry up. she was his partner in all this.
here's how much he loved trump.
they gave a total of $25 million to President Donald Trump alone, earning Adelson the designation of “Trump’s Patron-in-Chief” from news outlet ProPublica. The couple made an even larger donation near the end of Trump’s re-election bid, contributing a staggering $75 million to a Super PAC affiliated with his candidacy.

I wonder what they see in Trump. I mean it could be as simple as republican's mean lower tax burden to them, but when you have that much money, it can't just be that, or it feels like there should be something more.
