Evgeny came first. Always a .5 ppg player in the AHL. Theres not a lot there unlike little bro Andrei. But I'd wager he'd be a decent bottom 6 rw. The concern is he can't stick on a terrible red wings team though.

But I do find him an intriguing option, kind of like Frk or that ilk.

Could pop a little bit with a change of scenery.

This is a like an all-you-can-eat buffet for the KHL!

Imagine how many “finally complete!” top 6 squads the Oilers will be able to build from this list!

?

He's a sub.5 ppg player in the AHL for two seasons straight, with a big - to go along with that. He doesn't play a heavy game. Are you sure you're thinking of the same player? If he had a bottom 6 RW disposition he would definitely make the paper thin Redwings.

also of note the Bruins waived Zach Senyshyn. The Bruins took Senyshyn with the 15th OA pick in the 2015 draft. They acquired that pick from the Flames in a package for Dougie Hamilton.

3 picks in a row and only Debrusk turned out for them. The next 3 guys taken after the Bruins 3?

Barzal, Connor and Chabot.

One of the all time greatest "smartest guys in the room" moments.
If they went with the Bob Mckenzie list they would have selected Barzal, Connor, and Chabot. The league would be so f'd right now.

Austin Czarnik - Sven Baertschi - Michael Frolik
Tyler Wotherspoon -
Jon Gillies

I can almost claim an ex-Flames starting line-up today.

PS. Alan Quine and Ben Street are also on the waiver list as well.

Barzal, Connor and Chabot.
And, at the time, most people questioned why they didn't take Connor or Barzal.

Corey Perry at League Minimum would be incredible.

If Treliving and Ward are deadset on Lindholm and Bennet playing C, Bennett will be the 4C, With Monahan/Lindholm/Backlund ahead of him.
If that means Bennett is getting saddled with the leftover wingers, Lucic and Perry would make that probably the worst 4th line in the league to play against, and I think the play styles of all 3 would actually compliment 1 another. They're all grinders who will battle everywhere on the ice, and all have offensive instincts.

Yeah I kind of want Perry. It would be so easy to get under the skin of any team with a pair of elite pests and one of the most intimidating enforcers in Lucic. And psychological warfare is most certainly a thing in this league.

Also Perry was pretty clutch for Dallas at key times. Sometimes you don't need that guy that will put up a PPG in the playoffs, but when the chips are down will score that one important goal that changes a series.

even at 35 years old Corey Perry would be much better option than Brett Ritchie

I think Svechnikov gets claimed. Not because he is any good or has any upside, but simply because the Benning Meme has to come to life again.

In all seriousness, there are some talented players with upside here, and some interesting vets. I don't think that the Flames claim anyone, but as much as I hate him, Perry would be an interesting add to have as a 13th forward. I thought he had a pretty decent playoffs.

I totally forgot about Parker Wotherspoon - more highly touted than his brother (though I might be mixing that up), but I guess not better enough.

Didn't Sven quit on the Canucks last year and bolt back to Switzerland?
