No, that was the person who grabbed the lady that was shot .... he seems pretty calm for someone who just saw that and he has no idea why she was shot which is mind blowing. Actually this is great news for Trump. If the entire cabinet resigns then he can't be ousted via the 25th, and all of the leverage goes away and Trump can then go completely off the rails, unchecked.

Some are speculating that she was trying to get the rest of the cabinet on board for the 25th to be implemented but couldn't do so...so she walked away instead.

Yeah, I have no respect for anyone who stayed in Trump's cabinet after everything that's happened over the last four years, but resigning in protest now is actually the worst thing they could do. If there are any remaining secretaries who are willing to put country over party, the best thing they can do for America is to not resign and instead invoke the 25th.

Or maybe that was already tried but it was clear they didn't have a majority so Chao is resigning now? (Edit: also posted by t99 above)

Could be, but these people are all so self-serving that I'm always going to assume to worst. Either way the 25th isn't going to happen, so it's on Congress and we all know what will happen there. So I guess we should all strap in for the insanity that the next 13 days will be.

I read conflicting things on the 25th. It sounds like it needs approval by 2/3s of both houses to be implemented. Can the vp and cabinet remove him while they wait on that vote, or is he not actually removed until the houses vote?

From what I’ve heard the 25th in this case is not a viable option as if once invoked by the VP, Trump can appeal, then its a 21 day process to then appeal the appeal.

Vice President and the majority of cabinet. You're thinking of conviction to remove as a result of impeachment.

So yes, two-thirds of the House and Senate have to agree with the VP and Cabinet that the President is unfit for office...but they have 21 days to decide this. So if a majority of cabinet secretaries invoke the 25th, Congress can just run out the clock with Acting President Pence until Biden is sworn in on January 20th.
