His entire existence and livelihood is based on saying outrageous things and stirring up his cult. He's not even hoping Trump gets to stay somehow. He just wants to cash in on a few years of how Trump was screwed.

One could argue that the collapse after passing the ACA was pretty significant.. maybe not as drastic because Obama won a 2nd term but Dems did lose the Senate and the House and a LOT of state governments went red.. and while Trump was a 1 term wonder and the Senate flipped back, the Senate will (hopefully) be 50/50, and they lost seats in the House, and almost none of the recovery started in 2018 in state level governments continued, and many lost ground.
One can of course argue about the impact of gerrymandering and suppression of voting and such.
And throw in losing the Supreme Court for a generation...
It's nice that Trump is gone but really Dems are still pretty far behind.

That's pretty crazy. I wonder how close he is to flipping to an independent.
It probably wouldn't hurt. The Republican brand is poison and he is one of the few that can distance himself from them and not be completely hypocritical.
It would have been nice if he was harder on Trump, but he was never a supporter at least.
