my dad has that in his collection, I believe (I need to take a look through it some day). IIRC, there's also "Sesame Street Fever" in that collection from when my brother and I were younger.

I have both those records in my collection but I don't think I'm your dad.

Hey, I keep Platinum Blonde: 7 Year Itch as the number 1 CD in my car! Picked it up randomly from Futureshop after hearing Platinum Blonde playing live on Much Music around 2000.

And I'm a 23 year old chinese guy. Not exactly the PB demographic I wasn't even born when that album came out. I really gotta go get Standing in the Dark in vinyl, anybody want to sell it to me? I saw it at a flea market awhile back but I never picked it up. I'd hang the bloody thing on my wall. Vinyl went out when I was like seven years old so the only things I owned on vinyl were Transformers and Sesame Street read-along books.

Well, being a younger guy, I'm going to have to say that if I were to blast out my old Robert Munsch, Transformers, or Raffi records (if I still had them), that'd be a little embarassing.

But, of my parents' that I kept I'd have to go with Herbie Hancock's Future Shock. Don't get me wrong - I used to love it, but it hasn't exactly aged all that well.

You've probably tried it already, but give Recordland in Inglewood a shot.

I just saw an episode of How Its Made on Discovey and they did vinyl records as one of the thiings. It was really cool how they do it.

As soon as I read that the album started playing in my head.

Perhaps. I gave away my turntable so I don't have a use for it other, other than nostalgic. I know where it is, lemme make sure it is in good shape and I'll get back to you.
