The funny thing, related to the "big city" conspiracy, is Trump's voter share in these big cities that are being attacked is actually greater than 2016 for the most part.
(CNN) - Acting Secretary of Defense Christopher C. Miller announced Tuesday that the US will withdraw thousands more US troops from Afghanistan and Iraq by Jan 15, 2021 -- just days before President-elect Joe Biden takes office, confirming plans first reported by CNN on Monday.
Miller said the withdrawal of 2,500 troops from both countries "does not equate change" to US policies or objectives.
Currently there are approximately 4,500 US troops in Afghanistan and 3,000 troops in Iraq.
..
A series of sweeping changes at the Pentagon last week that started with the firing of Defense Secretary of Mark Esper saw Trump loyalists installed in influential. Knowledgeable sources told CNN's Jake Tapper last week that the White House-directed purge at the Defense Department may have been motivated by the fact that Esper and his team were pushing back on a premature withdrawal from Afghanistan, which would be carried out before the required conditions on the ground were met.
Krystal Ball EXPOSES centrists LIES about how They FAILED
My goodness that title sure makes it impossible to even make me want to click and watch it.
It's pathetic and click baity.
There are so many buzz words and dog whistles in her editorializing that I can barely understand what she is saying.
what i got from it was, the establishment says defund the police hurt democrats but someone who actually anlayzed what republicans were saying about their adversaries was more along the lines of:
they care about corporate power and not helping you. i'm not sure which argument is better but there are two sides to the debate - we can make up our own minds after that.
There must be others, but pretty hard to come up with someone other than Rudy who has gone from one of the most respected to least respected public figures in the US.
Years ago Alan Dershowtiz spoke in Calgary and I recall my dad was a huge fan calling him one of the brightest legal minds in the US. I think his downfall started with the OJ trial.
Rudy Giuliani says he is ready to LOSE election lawsuits in hope they end up in front of the Supreme Court - as latest Donald Trump lawyer revealed as radio host who says president has lost
The president's personal attorney was due to appear in court on Tuesday to argue one of Trump's cases, an attempt to have hundreds of thousands of mail-in ballots removed from the count in Pennsylvania.
It was the first time since 1992 he was due to appear in federal court, and the first time since 2018 in any court room, having appeared for his alleged mistresses' daughter in a Florida court two years ago.
'Frankly this is a case that we would like to get to the Supreme Court. So we're prepared in some of these cases to lose and to appeal and to get it to the Supreme Court,' Giuliani told Fox Business host Maria Bartiromo Tuesday.
although 5 years old, this interview with macarthur is perhaps a more 'tolerable' elucidation of what has been ailing the democratic party with voters (especially working people).
actually i liked this guy's (lincoln project) analysis. it's a long vid (i watched it 1.5x) but he really explains different aspects of both parties (legislative branch) and how they are regarded by the electorate. another pov different from the democratic party (establishment and progressives) apologies for the youtube bombs but i found it fascinating.

This is an ongoing problem with the Hill that really undermines their credibility. Krystal can be a transparent shill for her Bernie-bro agenda, but she also makes a lot of good points. You just have to kind of put both of them through a filter and recognize their ideological goals are going to dictate the content they put out.
The irony here, though, was posting that as some sort of response to Maher's criticism of "woke" identitiarian left-wing politics. Krystal despises those politics, and the people who promote them, every bit as much as Maher does.

The democrats won 3 of the last 4 general elections. The one they lost was by the slimmest of margins and with Russian interference.
What's with the post mortems? Shouldnt that be for the GOP?
Landslide victories are not possible. The country is too large and divided. Turning Alabama blue is like asking Blackfalds AB to vote Liberal. Will not happen.

Anyone else who does more litigation than I do please feel free to correct me, but I don't think this is a viable strategy (presuming some broad similarities between US and Canadian law). Absent some extraordinary circumstance, in any appellate proceedings, Trump will be restricted to the evidence adduced and the issues/arguments made in the court below (only now with the additional onus of demonstrating some incorrectness, unreasonableness, or palpable and overriding error in the judgement of the court below). They have no choice but to put their best foot forward in the court of first instance.
If I'm more or less on the mark, then this smacks of just public relations for the Trump base (to make the inevitable losses at the trial court level appear to be "all part of the plan").

I think the only post-mortem necessary for the Democrats is why they're continuing to underperform expectations at the senate level... it's known that the senate has a Republican lean baked in by virtue of being small-state dominant, but the Democrats coming up short in winnable races isn't something new, and goes back at least 5 cycles. Is it poor candidates? Ground game? Digital engagement? National-level messaging? It's something they absolutely need to fix for 2022.
(Of course, Democrats could still win both Georgia seats and then this question looks out-of-date.)
Yeah, this... Bill Maher put it perfectly on Friday night, one of his best Real Time New Rules segments in a while.
Bill Maher continues with being the most nauseating enlightened centrist that has a voice. This bull#### dismissal of actual issues while framing it as "common sense" instead of understanding the issue is the problem.
