I think the weird cartoonish aspects add to the jersey. My favourites are Calgary, Anaheim, and Arizona. They’re ridiculous and I’d never want any of them to be their full-time kits but they’re also fun for one-two games/year.

The marketing has been a little unclear until today whether these last one season or more.

Do we know if these are one-offs for this season only, or a 3rd jersey going forward?

Beauty, one of the best jerseys released today. Already have one on pre-order. Hopefully if they do this again they will do a black version of the pedelstal jersey. This is supposed to be fun, and I imagine the jersey will be a big hit around North America especially with kids.

Had a few hours to digest it but it still gets a big meh from me. It's not terrible but dissapointing because it could be so much better.

That said it's hard to hate it much because a 3rd (or 4th I guess) jersey is the perfect time to get wacky and dumb, so whatever. Who am I kidding, I'm still gonna get one

From what I understand I think it’s 2 games, likely a home and home with Edmonton (That last part is pure speculation based on the Oilers having a white uniform).

I think it’s one of the best, but at worst it’s middle of the road. There’s some seriously awful stuff there. This isn’t even close.

This is awful because it takes no risks, does nothing interesting, and offers minimal improvements on the previous iteration.

It still has our stupid number font, used by us, the Hitmen, and nobody else for the last 25 years.

There are dozens of examples of interesting takes on a reverse Retro Blasty in this thread alone. Any one of AC’s designs would be preferable.

Good, so some won't buy the jersey and some will.

Its kind of remarkable how a fun thing for some is absolute garbage to others. Different strokes for different folks I suppose , but damn the hate came strong the last page or so.

Everyone got their wish of full time original jerseys, and some got their ol blasty wish. Seems like everybody should be happy but this is the interwebs.

The Flames have given literally everybody an option to spend money on their merchandise as far as I can tell. Good for them.

Using Blasty, the most polarizing logo in team history, is absolutely a risk. I’m not saying it’s perfect but most of these designs are “lazy”. All they had to do was swap some colours around. That’s what they did here.

Yeah I think it looks good but.. the striping looks strange a bit to me with black underneath.

I much prefer some of the edits one of the last posters put up with white or larger portion at bottom coloured.

Lazy? Don’t agree with that at all.

Blasty is a cult classic. The original logo works much better that any of the recolored versions in this thread.

It’s the blasty Jersey streamlined and modernized to look better and provide a “blackout” look which will be more apparent with black equipment. It’s a huge improvement in my eyes.

A design doesn’t need to be radically different to be better. This is an improvement over the original blasty in every way and will look unbelievable on ice.

Flames have a near perfect uniform set now. I never thought I’d see the day

The Wild, Blues and Kings executed the concept perfectly, IMO.

A Blasty with the 04 colours, or the pedestal colours, or hell, the original Heritage colours, or the original Hitmen colours, would’ve been something.

I get that less is more, but oh how I wish someone in the organization could’ve envisioned how much more more would be.

Eventually I would love to see Blasty as part of a full set for the Flames.

This is something that I would love for the Flames. 4 jerseys with consistent striping (three equal sized stripes) across all three uniforms.

Leverage the great mountain shoulder patch on the jerseys, and then Blasty as their 4th jersey.

This would be awesome as the Flames set ongoing.
