Is there any chance these things come back being available online any time soon?

Helpful tip for the sad folk still waiting for their PS5:

When you set it up, it asks if you want to transfer saves, account data, and games over from your PS4 (you have to have them both connected to the internet).

Skip the game portion, just download those individually yourself from your library. I had a couple minor issues doing it (it bonked the only cross gen game I had) and there are some reports of worse issues regarding that feature. It'll be fixed in a firmware update, for sure, but just easier to avoid the hassle of having to reset the PS5 if something goes sideways.

In general: the PS5 is a nice upgrade. Everything feels smooth and fast, I love the new controller, and everything looks crisp.

Also: it's ####ing huge. Like, as big as you think it's going to look next to the rest of whatever your setup might be, it's bigger than that. That is easily my only complaint, it's just unreasonably big.

My PS5 only just arrived in Calgary at 9 this morning, so probably won't be here till Monday. Bummer.

Ahh yes, the bricking of PS5's due to rebuilding of storage. I really hope they figure this out. What a pain it would be to get your PS5 and have it brick completely on day 1 due to some stupid rebuilding of storage.

Note to anyone with Spider-man remastered:

Slowly resigning myself to not having my PS5 for the weekend. What a bummer.

I still can’t believe that Bestbuy didn’t have the foresight to ship on Tuesday instead knowing that Wednesday was a Canada Post holiday.

With the series X arrival, I repurposed my xbox one x in another room. I left the previously attached 8tb drive in place so that I could move games onto the series x internal drive and have access to the library that I have built up.

I went to play the xbox one x and oh my...I had forgotten how "tiny" the original internal hard drive was. I had always intended to buy another hard drive and was going to wait for Black Friday next week but now that can't come soon enough! it has require some juggling to squeeze the games onto the hard drive. First world problems I know!

Yep I got my Series S today and PS5 still scheduled for Tuesday. Doesn’t matter at this point as we have on going home repairs all next week so I won’t be playing it until next weekend now. Oh well! I’m sure I’ll catch up fast, have lots to play until then.

Received my PS5 today and my new receiver. The TV is coming next week so I'm just debating whether to play or wait and put everything together next week.

If anyone happens to see a 3D Pulse Headset in the wild please let me know! My little daughter's room is close to the bonus room so she'll appreciate daddy using headphones.

Sony didn't want anyone to have them early, so the best solution to that is clearly to make sure everyone gets them late.

Looks like the Xbox Series S is available on amazon.ca right now.

Edit - wait, price is really high. Ok, I'm done looking and suggesting. Lol

Interesting that Infinity Ward ninja dropped an update for Call of Duty Warzone that uncapped the framerate speed on Series X. People are getting an average of 100-120fps. Yet on PS5 it is still capped at 60fps.

We might see more of this in the future as The series X supports VRR and PS5 does not.

I was really surprised with how quick the PS5 and XB Series X made it to me in Northern Manitoba. The XB arrived on Thursday & I had the PS5 yesterday. Not too shabby for being in the middle of nowhere. I was a bit surprised the XB took longer since I ordered it direct from MS, but alas, they are here, and I'm happy to start seeing what all the fuss is about

That's because the game is running on backwards compatibility mode for both consoles. The Xbox One X can output at 120fps, the PS4 can't, so while the PS5 is perfectly capable of 120fps it will only be for native PS5 titles
