That's one way to look at it yes, I'm looking at from a percentage point perspective because Biden will carry roughly the same percentage of the Philly vote as Clinton did. People are coming out which is good, but in other counties the swings in percentages vs 2016 are more indicative of things changing than more Philly democrats going out to vote.

Biden and the DNC leadership are the definition of a middle-ground party. The commies haven’t taken over yet.

Is Trump going to federalize the NG and try to pull a military coup/destroy ballots/something else before the courts can stop him?

This is really not true at all. The Dems nominated Biden, the ultimate moderate/safe choice over more left-wing options like Sanders and Warren. Ultimately, the Dems are a very centrist party. The far-left wing like AOC make a lot of noise and are very popular with young people on Twitter and Reddit, but people like her don't have anywhere close to as much influence in the party apparatus as you seem to believe (much to the chagrin of people who want to pull the US further to the left on issues like single-payer universal health care and climate change).

Maybe Esper doesn't want to take the impending "send the troops to the polling offices!" order.

No. That's a non-story. No matter who wins, they're supposed to resign and allow the President to decide whether to re-appoint them or change course. Happens every four years regardless of whether a new President is elected. So the fact that he "prepared" it is just obvious - he'd have to no matter what the result is. If he tenders his resignation before the election is called, that might be newsworthy.

Is that true? Every time an incumbent wins the cabinet presents resignation letters to them?

I hope you are right. I'm not that confident, but we'll see.

It's weird to see a Canadian concerned that socialist horror shows like public healthcare might come to America.

Doesn't it typically happen closer to inauguration, though?

Yeah PA lead is down ti 96,000 with 12% to go.

Trump I suspect will lose all of AZ, NV, GA and PA. Thank goodness it won't be close, eliminate all room for doubt.

I mentioned it before, but a lot of rural and small town/small city people, simply have not been that affected by COVID directly. But they do feel the effects of the restrictions and overall negative economic impacts. For that reason, I can see why Trump's stance on opening up and downplaying the virus would appeal to them.

Trump's campaign really capitalized on the rural/urban divide and COVID was a big part of that.

Wouldn't it be amazing if the GOP rebuked Trump's attempt to challenge this election and Trump then denounced the GOP, resulting in the worst part of his base rejecting Republicans? Would bode well for the future and maybe the end of this horrible Trumpism era.

Submission of the resignation, sure. Who knows (and who cares) when people typically draft the letters. If he resigns early, that'd be a thing, but all this says is he wrote a letter and put it in a drawer.

Yup. Would be a possibility for Democrats to scoops some of them up if possible.
