Georgia secretary of state is giving a press conference. Down to 47,277 ballots still outstanding that are with the counties.
Chatham - 17,157 - currently scanning Clayton - 6026 Cobb - 700 - Just finishing Floyd - 682 - No clear answer Forsyth - ? I missed it, I thought it was 4,000 something but I could be wrong. Fulton - 7305 - Continues to process, 1200 doing signature matching, 3900 provisionals. So that answers where those are - they're included in the total count of 47k. Gwinnett - 4800 - 4400 absentee ballots to scan and report, they also had an issue with a corrupt memory card on one of the early voting scanners. They took the ballots and re-scanned them, that's 400 votes. Benefit of a paper backup. Harris - ? I didn't hear the number. Lawrence - 1797 - They did absentee ballot printing in house, and the ballots ended up being the wrong size, so it couldn't be scanned, so they're now duplicating ballots on the marking devices and tie the two together so there's a paper backup. There's 456 of those. They're about halfway through their process. Taylor - 456
There are 17,000+ military and overseas ballots that have been accepted into counties. Those votes can come in late. There are 8,899 that haven't arrived but could arrive to be counted by tomorrow.
Hoping for clarity as soon as possible, but can't say when they'll be "done" because there are still ballots that might come in.

Well, that motion pretty much writes itself. I expect the Trump campaign to file before the afternoon is over.

This is going to be very close—but I would think if you’re Biden you want to be leading before the 17,000 military overseas ballots come in. Historically I believe those would tend to be more Republican-leaning.

Biden has done really well in Fulton, Clayton, Chatham and Gwinnett so far, so the majority of the outstanding votes coming from those counties should be good news. No idea about those overseas ballots though.

Trump was underwater in a military personnel poll not too long ago.

Are the 17K overseas ones part of the 47K outstanding? If so, Biden is probably in tough to win.
I think the 17k are already included in counted ballots - i.e., not part of the 47k. However, there are 8000+ ballots in addition to the 47k that haven't been returned and could still come back. That was how I understood it.
I would be interested for someone to do the math on the bigger counties to see how much each would narrow the race for biden if you assume they're coming in in the same proportions as votes in the county have so far. Biden will probably outperform those numbers so if that would be enough to get him into the lead, that would be a good sign. I don't have time to do it right now.

Not needle Nate last night was saying Biden was winning mail-in in PA by 50 points, so he's staying at that or even above right now. And he only needed a 22 point margin to win.
