I’m no Trump supporter, but seems as though Biden could be very bad for Alberta.

Overall based on the state of the industry and oil consumption, I don't think the pipeline is even viable anymore from an economics standpoint. TMX and Line 3 are all we will need in the most likely scenarios going forward. No one is going to grow production or build new greenfield facilities.

I'm prepared to trade things that are bad for Alberta for the sake of the rest of the world.

Considering the amount of natural gas that comes into the US I wouldn't get your panties in a bunch. Alberta is still getting a bigly amount of business from the States. Yuge amount. Tremendous. That's what people are saying anyways.

And Alberta's issues are moreso imposed upon itself within it's own country, rather than because of the states alone.

The thing I find hard to believe is that of the 330,000,000 people who live in the US that these 2 are the the options people have available to vote for President. If I lived in the United States I would be ashamed.

On the Democrat side it isn’t about who is best to be President it’s about who will beat trump

Lol. Someone told me Biden planned on shutting down the pipeline. So I googled it. Didn’t check the date on the article.
Also lol at the Trump slang in your post. Quite funny.

What's the quote? You want to invest in a company that even an idiot could run, because one day one will.

Except that is short-sighted, because they WILL be the president, for at least 4 years.
And if they suck at it, we could see this crew of Republicans (sans Trump) right back at it.

Sure but the alternative would be to run someone with less chance to get Trumo out
Number one priority: best Trump
Then go about rebuilding the nation

I look at it like a very very small step in the right direction. Get Trump out. Keep moving to improve.

First, ignoring the false dichotomy, that implies that Biden is an admirable candidate at beating Trump. As the poster that started this discussion stated, from 330M people, there should be a few around somewhere that might be better than Biden for that purpose.
Second, there is no THEN in 'then go about rebuilding the nation'. If you beat Trump, rebuilding the nation is where you're at. It isn't like there is a lot of foresight required in realizing that fact. Nor is it a bridge to be crossed later. If you beat Trump, you have to govern.

Again, once you have Trump out, it is too late to keep moving to improve.
Anyway, enough on that.

Sadly, I don't think rebuilding the nation is even possible. Trump is not the problem, he's a symptom. The problem is what politics have become, and more specifically, what the Republican party has become.
It's not Trump who is erasing democracy. It's the Republicans. The most dangerous people after this election are the Lincoln Project, because they will immediately turn their focus to life after Trump, and a candidate who doesn't sound as volatile and inflammatory and wouldn't be concerned only with their own power, ego, and vanity.
But a lot of the policies will still be the same, including the main one: getting power back in whatever way you need to.
