Gaudreau for ROR seems like the natural solution. We'll even retain 1.75 an call it a day...

If you have $6.5 to give to Krug, why don’t you just give $8.5 to the dude Gary handed the Cup to 16 months ago?

I agree I hate them.
Most hated:
1. Oilers

3-5. Anaheim/LA/Van

This 6.5 put them over the cap and there isn't an easy/obvious way to fix it.
They're also pretty well set on the right side with Faulk and Parayko

Who is STL exposing this year? Might have to be Parayko (1x5.5)...
Krug
Faulk
Dunn
But maybe they go 4 and 4
ROR
Schenn
Thomas
Tarasenko
Would be exposing some good forwards I think...

They offered him 8x8. Sounds like he wants Josi money

Faulk has been a bust. They can easily expose him with no concerns, and be doing cartwheels if he is taken

I haven’t read all the comments but if you add at lest $1.5MM to Pietrangelo with the same term it becomes so expensive. I’m generally against long term deals but the best of that devil is to spend it on a defenceman IMO. I just don’t think with the near term uncertainty over the next couple years how any team can sign anyone to anything beyond $7.5MM per season with the cap being stuck. Krug may be with this in a regular year but the economics have changed. I’d say he’s worth $5.5 MM but it’s not my cash.

Somehow I thought he had been there for longer than just a year (and that it was going well), but looking at his numbers it looks like a poor year. I guess him rebounding would be a good problem to have come ED time.

Not a fan of this signing. Would rather have Brodie at his contract value

Do it. Do it.

Why would he be pissed. He turned down the Blues looking for more they could pay.
Maybe pissed at himself if he wanted to stay.

Free agenct contracts have been downright reasonable this season.

Agreed. Oilers had a chance to get better.
Alas, no cap space and as a result, no playoffs moving forward. Make it 15 of the last sixteen years. Cleveland Browns territory.
A shame.

Shocking signing.
Blues and Leafs out on Pietrangelo
Golden Knights or Bruins? Could the Flames sneak in there?

Help, save, whatever.
|
Does this mean Boston will get Petro? Losing Krug and Chara being a human turnstile they will need some kind of a replacement.
