Treliving has an atrocious Free Agent track record.

I never liked the Brouwer or Neal signings. Or Raymond either for that matter.

Brouwer and Neal were aging 2nd line wingers who were never fleet of foot.

Markstrom has established himself as a legitimate starting goalie and goalies remain good into their later years.

This is in no way the same.

I would’ve preferred Holtby. I’ve said in multiple threads, Holtby has six better seasons than Markstrom’s best, plus more hardware, and is basically trending towards 400 wins and a Hall of Fame career.

We had to get one of them.

Neither wasn’t a viable option.
