On defense I like Ryan ORourke more than Justin Barron. I'm still hoping that they get a forward and worry about defense tomorrow.

The extra picks can really help restock the cupboards, I like it. Now hopefully we hit some home runs.

At least not any more than two other guys. He could be tied on their list at 22, and they are happy no matter how it shakes out.

Maybe Tre really really wants to select 31st overall.

It's a way of evaluating the historical value of draft picks.

It's imperfect since drafts vary, but it's just an idea of how draft picks have been valued in the past.

Still going to take 4 years for either a 19th picked or 31st pick to play in the NHL. If you can add a few more picks while getting the same kind of player I'm all for that. This draft I don't see much difference in talent from 19th - 24th to be disappointed in moving back a few spots

Oilers pick likely is next year they get to choose and with no 2nd they likely keep their third

I wonder if the 3rd round picks are going to be used to move up into the 2nd round.

Yeah, but sometimes I just want this team to make the dumb, easy, shiny toy pick and just be done with it.

Instead we'll be following Lapierre's career with the what ifs lingering.

I think it's a function of how likely the picks are to playing 100 games or something.

I've seen similar metrics anyway
