I'm more interested in picking up second rounders during or after the circus today. So many high risk/high reward players in the second round.

And? It's also the name of a rap album. But it's actually a nickname I got from my friends; we were out and some ####### was shouting racial slurs at me and our drunk friend decided to fight the guy and while he was hitting the guy he screamed that I was "mixed like Crown and Coke" for some reason. My friends and I started laughing and from henceforth, I was Crown Royal.

They shouldn’t have to. Unless there is gate revenue.

Darren Dreger speculating on overdrive (TSN) that Montreal would be interested in Taylor Hall.

This rumour has been around for a while as well. I imagine with so many people discussing it, they’ll be in on him.

Would Taylor Hall be interested in Montreal? That's the question.

Exactly what I was just about to say. I can't see it, personally

Demko softens the blow of losing him. Like I said earlier in the thread, I don't want him to go, but when he was brought in it was to be stop-gap for the next guy. He just happened to turn into a bonafide #1 in that time. Him leaving would suck, but the reality is that was always the plan, even if something had changed.I have a solid belief in Demko continuing to develop like he has at every level he has played to be come a bonafide #1 as well.

You can do a look into the Canucks system, if you want. It's very similar to the one used by the Islanders, where they keep everything to the perimeter and allow a lot of low percentage shots. Islanders happen to do it better because their defence isn't a tire fire in the bottom half. I have no illusions about how important Markstrom was in making that system work for the Canucks, there is zero doubt he is our MVP. I am also not ignorant to the fact that this system also played to Markstrom's strengths.

You're a decent poster but serious eff off with all this Canucks talk. If I wanted to hear about the Canucks I'd go outside.
Feel free to mute me. It's a thread about off-season trades and rumours where in the Canucks are a major part of the biggest looming trade currently in the NHL and the Canucks #1 goalie is a pending UFA where in your own team is one of the main people apparently pursuing him.

Any rumours heard at this point is probably decoys sent out by rival teams to get their rivals to overpay. I didn’t believe the Flames were interested in OEL, but it wouldn’t surprise if the Flames are floating their fake interest so Vancouver pays a heftier price. I see a lot of things like that happening right now.

What's funny about this? It's based off the same system they use. Travis Green has talked about it. It's not a great idea in my mind, but it's what they do.

Are you referring to the years he was a back up to Holtby and then Varlamov????

This was his first season as a starter.

TSN mentioned AZ is asking for Demko in an OEL trade as part of package?

This close to free agency, wouldn't make sense not to test the market. Especially since there appears to be this much interest.

Wasn't he starting last season over Varlamov for large chunks?

Canucks still have the ability to give him 56 million over 8 years to keep him in Vancouver.

If that's his ask, then I am glad we're passing.

If he is looking for expansion protection though, other teams might be more willing to offer him that. And I doubt that is what they will offer him.
