Absolutely. And I would guess there is a massive gap between 1 and 2 and again between 2 and 3. I think Management only leaks things if they think it will help their negotiations

A 3rd or less for Murray?
Andrew Fillipponi
@ThePoniExpress
.@Real_RobRossi tells @937theFan that he thinks the Penguins would be lucky to get a 3rd round draft pick for Matt Murray. He called making the qualifying offer "a risk" Because of cold trade market and lack of leverage. Damn.

I can see Hanifin for Debrusk in our future. Just a guess.

What is debrusk?
35-45 point guy? More?
I don't watch enough Boston to know how he's deployed. I assume 2nd line? Does he get pp time? 1st or 2nd?
Unless the Flames forecast a significant jump in production, I can't see why he would be worth (what I assume) would be a large ask from Boston.

Debrusk has the potential to be a prime David Backes style of player.

Seems fair. I try to see trade proposals from the other teams perspective but if they are out on OEL and Krug I think they’d definitely want a 23 year old Hanifin with a good contract
Love Debrusk

You are getting too cocky for a Canucks fan. I hope they finish just outside of the playoffs for the next three years hah

I like Debrusk too, but you have to think many more moves are on tap if he's a target. Left shooting left wings are the literal last thing we need unless we're shaking things up.

DeBrusk would still be 3rd on the LW depth chart barring any further moves though. Unless there is a greater plan in place for a complete flipping of players around the core.

No trade worth doing is going to come cheap. Look at the Carolina trade, as good as it was, you can't deny we gave up a ton.
A young top 6 forward who seems good for 20+ goals is worth targeting IMO. I like him more than Zucker for example.

Debrusk doesnt make much sense given our LW depth.
Unless:
We dont go after Hall
We Trade Johnny (he wont replace what Johnny brings)
Flames decide they dont want to pay for Eat Bread and move on from him/trade him as part of the Debrusk move.
I dont see us being that big of a fit tbh.

Bennett I believe will be moving to center, Lucic most likely moving to 4th line left wing and Tkachuk I believe will slot over to the right side on 2nd line which moves Mangiapane down to the 3rd line LW. Leaves 1st line left wing still occupied and the 2nd line LW opened up.
If we bring in Hall and Debrusk though that’s about it for Gaudreau I’m thinking which is a sad thing to consider no matter what. Johnny G has brought so much excitement here the past 6 or so years it will be a hard day when he moves on from Calgary.
