Might be be a bad hockey trade, but think about the entertainment value when posters have a complete meltdown

You’d have to think there’d be more coming our way. Maybe Debrusk?

I stopped reading after he said goaltending was a problem in the playoffs. It wasn't.

Yeah he's clueless, but at least he's not claiming it is a rumor, just suggesting it and say there wouldn't be extra pieces.

Thankfully Rask has a modified NTC and probably wouldn’t waive.

Some of you are way too focused on what way players shoot. A good player is a good player regardless of which way they shoot.

...man...you and I are on a bad run lately as far as agreement....
The two definitely showed heart in different ways...but when it came to Fleury as a flame...I dont know a bigger heart on his sleeve player. I think it's a difficult thing to compare, but Fleury playing with the autographed Jersey because his game Jersey had too much blood on it, the day he was traded to Colorado (I still have the newspaper clip) and the shootout goal he scored in the preseason are memories that stand out as very symbolic for this. Iggy has similar ones...but they tend not to be as dramatic.
Iggy was one of the big guys that lifted the team on his back and could carry them by himself...but he could also be the floater circling at center ice waiting for the easy play. The determination of Iggy in the 04 run is unparalleled.
Fleury at his size had to fight for every inch and was able to accomplish amazing things in a different league. Fleury today would be a 100 point a year winger...but back in his day he would score despite 250 lb 6-6 defenders water skiing him from center ice in.
Both amazing players...both amazing heart...but I think we either disagree on their heart or one of us watched Fleury play more ..

‘Treliving should be fired immediately for even being mentioned as part of this rumour’ - fragile Flames fan.

Agree...but the fact that on the power play the flames cant put out anyone with a right shot significantly decreases the square footage of ice that you are a threat in because of the shot angles. Can you still have a top power play.? Absolutely. Is it easier to defend than if you had a top right handed shot great? Absolutely.

It doesn't make much sense to me why Hanifin would be on the move, even if it was to make room for Brodie (He wants to stay in CGY but can the Flames pay for his services) that still leaves a notable left side gap. Unless they all in on Mackey before camp even starts?
At any rate, its insane how much media speculation Hanifin is getting in the media. From outside of our market guys at that.

Let's also not forget the Flames organization themselves are focusing on RHS as well. Right now. So I suppose they're wrong too.

There better not be a 33 year old goalie at the source of that smoke.

Well if he was but one part of the package, maybe. But Rask is definitely another stop gap goalie good for 2 or 3 seasons.
I have to look at what else Boston has . Senyshyn comes to mind off the top of my head.
EDIT: Urho Vaakanainen would be intriguing to me as well.he is primed for a 3rd pairing spot immediately.

Fleury was fearless and would hit anything that moved, Theo would stand up to anyone, and I mean anyone in the entire league, meanwhile Jarome, too many times would no nothing when one of our guys got crushed by the other team.
For those of us that saw Theo in his prime for those 10+ seasons in Calgary, (besides a few haters here on CP) we know Fleury had more heart in his pinkie finger than Jarome had in his whole body.
