Because the fear of being left behind by a rival out weighs the thought of a bunch of tools winning.
I don’t know why your laughing? Because it’s legit true.
And as for fear of being left behind? I can’t wait for the Canucks overhype being overshadowed by the lack of god mode goaltending...unless Demko really is the best goalie in the league...
I'm pretty disappointed we don't get an Avs Knights WCF. That was the best outcome for quality of hockey. I guess the best SCF we can hope for now in that regard is Knights / Bolts.

Oh I know. We've watched the Flames and Oilers not be able to take that next step over the last 5 years. It isn't easy. I don't think I'd be content to going back to missing the play-offs next year now though. What the Oilers did is probably soul crushing as a fan.
I would have been okay with Vancouver advancing, but I'm just a fan of watching good hockey and there is no doubt that Vegas played the better game.

Vegas fans seem super cheesy to me... a lot of lame Canadian suburb people who like partying in Vegas and bought the gear on vacation and a bunch of flavour of the week locals who cheer for an expansion team like they are third generation fans.
That said.. still indifferent about them winning and they deserved this one. I actually don't even mind reeves when he is torturing kane.

Super impressed with Canucks team defence and intestinal fortitude that series.
green text? pretty sure they set a record for shots against without an OT game. They allowed the most shots per game of any team in the playoffs including the play in teams

They never stopped working and I wish some of the Flames had that never quit attitude.

Their team defense was outstanding in the last couple of games. It was almost all they did. They pretty much gave up on playing offense and just kept everything out of the slot while blocking shots and not giving Vegas good opportunities.
It was an impressive team effort, but it all depended upon having a timely counterpunch and they just didn't have that tonight because Lehner also made the big saves when needed.

Agree to disagree they gave up more chances and shots per game than any team in the playoffs so the numbers back me up. Vegas had TONS of good opportunities
VEGAS had 14 high danger chances...for the record the Flames gave up 7 high danger chances in game six when they "had no heart/effort"
