They aren't in win now and he's 37 by the time he plays his next game
If OEL is moving to the Flames it's another core piece imo

If the 1st is involved I’d be sick... especially in such a deep draft... and even if it’s not OEL is a scary contract to consider and I feel we would be as disappointed in him as we became with Jay Bouwmeester.

Get out from under OEL's salary and re-acquire a 1st round pick I would think is enough to have them consider it.
Hard to understate how useless it is for the yotes to be paying OEL 8.25 to not be a playoff team.
I'm going to assume with Chayka gone and that new owner in place, the arizona we've been used to seeing is going to have a dramatic shift in how they conduct business.

I keep coming back to Dylan Demelo, who is RH/RD and can be signed UFA, for probably around 3M/3Y. I think that defense is the least of Calgary's worries.

Bahahahaha right! I forgot Mangiapane in that lineup too who I absolutely love on this team and think we should lock him up to a long contract with good AAV.
I dunno; I was doing that just because that’s the rumour of the hour atm but honestly I want no part of OEL.

Am I the only one that thinks OEL is highly overrated? If I'm wanting to pay that salary for a dman, I'm making an offer for Petriangelo. Also, I'd much rather try and make a deal with Minnesota for Dumba.
Something like Hanifin + for Dumba.

He's not going to make it to Free agency and hes going to be worth about 9 mill a year. And he has to want to sign here, And someone has to take on salary for it to work.

The Coyotes have 30 million next year tied up in Defencemen.
No one is touching Goligoski/Hjarmarsson @5.5/5m
Demers @ 4m is going to be tough to get out of.
They wont trade Chychrun, he's they're Hanifin IMO
Definitely see them trying to get out from OEL, makes a ton of sense
