Playing games like this is just trolling IMO. Either have the guts to say and defend what you believe, or slither back to the shadows.

Except that’s not what was even in their statement.
And there are these things called election boundaries, I hope they’ve taken that into consideration.

People like this will never express their true opinion unless they think they are in the company of those who agree.

I don't read minds . Your a big boy/ girl use your words. I don't see what your problems are with it. You were pretty good at being vocal before . Present your argument or go away they adults are having a conversation not playing trolling games. Your welcome to have a discussion with me but if we are going to talk lets talk. I'm not going to feed your childish post going foreward if you can't add anything of substance.

Nevermind.
Nice to see the NBA make such a positive move brought about from something so negative.

Jesus you are more dense than the god damn core of the Earth. Here's what their statement says:
https://www.nba.com/lakers/releases/...nbpa-statement
Quote:
In every city where the league franchise owns and controls the arena property, team governors will continue to work with local elections officials to convert the facility into a voting location for the 2020 general election to allow for a safe in-person voting option for communities vulnerable to COVID. If a deadline has passed, team governors will work with local elections officials to find another election-related use for the facility, including but not limited to voter registration and ballot receiving boards.

No ignorance behind the question, I'm just honestly curious:
What is the end game here? New instances are popping up all over the place after Floyd and the message remains the same but nothing appears to be changing. Law makers? The GOVT? Who owns the big "key" if you will?

The current US administration has said in the last two days during their convention that systematic racism does not exist. The need to go before anything happens it's that simple. All focus ATM should be on the November election.
Obviously it doesn't solve all issues but it's the only place to start.

Imo this is the athletes realizing they may not have the “key” but they can put pressure on the people who do.
The more people who realize this the better. Too many of us think change is impossible because we are only 1 person and how can 1 person stand up to an entire system designed to keep the status quo.

Holding cops accountable for use of excessive force would be a hell of a good start.

If only there was a famous quote, about a famous city, that encapsulated the thought of “incremental changes sustained over time”.

Now they play in publicly own buildings and one would think that governments could be on board.
Nice try on calling me out though.

I'm curious why you would think that Flames fans would be any different than the population at large? Racism is systemic throughout society. The subset of that society that cheers for red hockey jerseys shouldn't be expected to be any different, nor should it be held to a different standard.
People suck. A whole lot of them. Issues like this bring it to the surface, but the stench is always there.
