31% chance assuming no foul play.

Throw in a crippled postal service and voter suppression tactics, and it's much higher than 31%.

His point is perfectly fine - he is saying that when you erode faith in our law enforcement institutions, social unrest and vigilante-ism is not far behind.

He doesn't seem happy about it.

"Independants" in the US are utter morons, not a contraversial opinion.

When normal people's faith in law enforcement is eroded, they be protesting like this!

When fascist's faith in law enforcement is eroded, they be shooting random people in the street like this!

...

You're a goddamn clown.

The law enforcement institutions are the ones causing the erosion of faith.

Strangely, nobody concerned with "cancel-culture" picked up on the irony of the RNC cancelling poor Angel Mom's speech.

How do you figure? The only benefit of being registered to one party or the other is if you live in a State with closed primaries.

I agree with you. No use in being registered with a party unless you are voting in the primaries.

Having said that, most voters down here are utter morons. They don't research or understand the issues and instead vote along party lines. It is better to be an issues voter and know which candidate best represents you on give issues. I've voted for Democrats, Republicans, and Independents because of their stance on certain issues. That's important in addressing big problems that face the state and country. Can't say that about many of the other voters I've met down here. They are very much in the mindset of voting for their team regardless of their values.

Reminder that there are very few true independents. Most lean one way or the other, and can only really be swayed to vote against their lean if the way they lean has a terrible candidate.

Voting along party lines is dumb as hell and is a big reason why the two main parties are as garbage as they are (the GOP obviously being a much bigger, fascist, racist dumpster fire).

Before people freak out, this is more of a comment on strategy than it is on Biden. I really do not understand why Democrats continue to chase the mythical "moderate Republican" vote they seem to think exists and is just there for the taking. The strategy has been producing diminishing returns for almost two decades now.

People vote for their team or their very small issues. In the States the length of your team goes all the way down to prosecutors and coroners.
