In fairness, outside of the penalties and the officiating that was a great game.
That was two fighters throwing haymakers back and forth.

You cant say you werent entertained.

Its a 2-2 series. Back to work.

It is like Heiskanen is from a better league.

Hard to imagine Hanifin or Andersson ever playing as well as Heiskanen has for basically every shift of the last 4 games.

Irrelevant. It’s simply unacceptable to continuously lose games late and make excuses.

pretty tough loss, considering calgary was 10s away from a 3-1 lead.
Dallas was killing Calgary in the cycle game from the 3rd onwards; forcing a number of turnovers... (penalties didn't help for sure) Dallas D was just way more engaged and creating a lot of problems for the Flames.

Need to figure out how to counter that going forward.

Still, the competitive balance is not in the same universe compared to last year.

Yeah, remember similar things happening last season as well. At some point, you need to bury chances.

certain posters only post when something bad happens to the Flames

Jets in 3
Jets in 4
Jets in 5
Stars in 4
Stars in 5
Stars in 6

Usual suspects...one check of post history

Again have an opinion but to say a 2-2 series is over? Why watch/post if its over

Did you think so when you thanked and posted in the GDT that was started the day before Game 1?

Or are you being consciously hypocritical?

Or the Stars have been really, really un lucky.

Last game how many posts can they hit.

Flames have to play a better game, they were totally out classed in this one.

~50 shots in regulation is not acceptable.... 21 to 6 in the 3rd is crazy.

Flames will need to re-focus, they can be better.....

I hardly expect anything different at this point. It would help if this team had six NHL-calibre defenders... but right now, they have four. And that's with Giordano slumping to the point where he's on the cusp of being replacement-level.

I understand the Gustafsson acquisition. They needed someone to give the powerplay a boost. His defensive game is ghastly, but it is what it is. But the Derek Forbort acquisition was costly and, to this day, makes no sense. He is a defensive and offensive liability and is the slowest player on either team.

At least guys like Bartkowski and Eriksson had no acquisition cost. The Flames gave up a decent price for a defenseman who's actually a downgrade on the guy they gave away to the Sharks for free.
 |
Kulak would have been nice right now.

I predict a game 5 win for the Flames. We saw how they rebounded after losses in these playoffs.
