Ugh I should be happy but I don't even feel good after that win. If their play in the last 7 periods or so continues they are not going to win this series. Can't rely on Talbot to bail them out like that.
Extremely concerning that they are not generating much offense at all. Shades of last year's playoffs.
Please show something next game! First line where are you???

Cam Talbot (35 saves) became the third @NHLFlames goaltender to record multiple shutouts in a single postseason, joining Miikka Kiprusoff (5 in 2004) and Mike Vernon (3 in 1989). #NHLStats #StanleyCup

This is the closest Flames playoff squad I've seen to that iteration of the Flames.
Sacrifice everything defensively, extremely opportunistic, grinding, hitting, fighting in the trenches. War of attrition hockey. One thing for sure is even though its not always pretty, it's far more effective in the post season.
Shades of the ginger bearded guy from Talbot too (if that save on Seguin doesn't give you flashbacks I don't know what will).

Oh man. If we were on the receiving end of this loss, it would have been one of the most frustrating games any of us have ever witnessed.
It does happen to other teams.

You need an excuse to put rye in your slurpee?

Good win but we wont go far until our top forwards wake up and start scoring. Or else i feel like it would be a quick exit in round 2. Its starting to worry me.

That was one of those worrisome wins, the kind where the whole game you’re worried for the tide to turn. Cam was brilliant. I thought the 4th line was really decent too. I’d guess they had more minutes tonight, but I wasn’t terrified every time they were out there. First line for me was a stride better than last night. Backs looked much better. Rieder has that hustle that works in the playoffs. I think Looch is catching it too. I saw him double back one shift in the 3rd and pick up the man and follow him into the corner. I think he’s loving this.

If I'm Ward I'm seriously considering scratching Johnny for game 4.

It does, it just feels like it doesn't because we haven't had a goaltender capable of pulling it off in a very long time.

May be that's what their pro scout told them to, and that's the way to beat Talbot?

Lol, did anyone else see how Khudobin looked like he was asleep at the bench and was jolted awake when told to go back in net with a few seconds left? Found that pretty funny.

It's a huge win too considering we were missing Chucky. I really think we need to demote Johnny. He is simply a liability out there.
