Talbot was as good as Gaudreau was bad, brilliant effort by Cam.

Needed that win because Sunday is an afternoon game which is a guaranteed loss

A Flames goalie hasn’t won us a game single-handedly like that since Kipper in...2006?

Thoughts:

- Talbot was clutch.
- Bennett, Lucic, Dube, Backlund and Ryan were our best forwards. Mangiapane has a solid 3rd.
- Brodie and Hanifin were our best defencemen
- Giordano made some “classic Gio” plays on the final PK tonight, I hope that’s momentum building for him
- Gaudreau is just a walking facepalm at this point

I thought Ward made some smart moves (incl. Mang and Ryan with Monahan at the end of the game).

I know Monahan is deservedly taking #%^* right now, but I still have time for him because I see him trying to play outside of his comfort zone. It’s not working, but he’s really trying.

Our “best” players need to be a lot better going forward. We also got a good amount of puck luck tonight in the defensive zone.

They calmed the hitting and running around down, and played a solid defensive game with a strong goalie.

Capitalized on their chances.

Ward is a genius

If I had to guess what they thought Talbot’s weakness was, based on how they were shooting, I’d guess that thought the best way to beat Talbot was to shoot wide.

Took off my fitbit and cracked a bottle of wine with about 8 minutes left in the game.

The Flames need to be better on Sunday. They got taken to the wood chipper in the 2nd. Gaudreau was awful. The lines may need to be shuffled. Hopefully, Tkachuk is back.

Really hard game to watch. Flames played like absolute dog shirt. Id be upset if I was a Dallas fan. Is it true that Dallas has 70+ shot attempts? This one is all on Talbot.

I liked Hanifin and Forbort tonight and of course the third line.I was happy to see the fourth line contribute as they were the ones that wore it last game on the opening goal. I would have threw the remote through the TV if John was on the ice for the empty net situation, good job ward in putting Ryan and Mangiapane out there.

A wins and win this time of year. It looked like 2004 out there.

I’m always amazed these sportscasters and announcers can call the game with McDavid’s **** in their mouths all the time.
