Yeah. Hoping Tkachuk injury isn't too serious and is able to come back as soon as possible.

Yeah that’s a questionable choice.

Just unlucky rotation I think, plus Tkachuk was hurt.

Backlund line was out there two shifts prior, and then it was Bennett-Dube-Lucic. So you either throw the 4th line out there or the first line out there.

Think you have to trust that the first line can just kill off the final 40 seconds of the period there.

Basis that wobble, he looks out for a bit.

What we've seen out of the team is virtually nothing like last year so I don't buy into that at all. Could go down a number of ways.

Oof. First line needs to get it together.

Hoping for a pushback game tomorrow.

All that may be true, but bringing in Quine or Rinaldo or anyone else makes zero sense. Especially assuming tkachuk is out.

Cliff or not, Gio is playing very poorly compared to what we are used to. He’s been neutral at best.

Gaudreau, for me it’s becoming more and more obvious that he needs to play run and gun to be effective. He also is a turn over machine and takes the weirdest decisions with the puck.

Now, if the manage to up their game we will look really good. Otherwise we’ll have to make it despite them.

I think you have to bring in Quine or Czarnik if Tkachuk is out, because otherwise you would only have 11 forwards.

Yeah Rinaldo gets outplayed almost every shift
I would bring in Quine or maybe Czarnik

Reider? Ryan? Anyone with a shred of defensive awareness?

I’ve liked Johnnys final minutes game in the past, but there’s no question he shouldn’t be out there right now for that situation.

Johnny on that goal was James Neal-esque.

If Tkchuck is out its a big loss. Even if he's not scoring he's got the other team's mental bandwidth occupied.

I don't know, the 4th line wasn't that bad, I'd throw out the 1st minus Johnny and may be put Toby out? Wouldn't you want someone with defensive awareness out there killing what little time left?

Below the ringette line he stays within 2 feet of the boards at all times. It’s crazy how blatantly terrified of contact he is

I mean he was going to have to play in overtime right?
If you can’t trust one of your best players in that situation there’s a problem
Which maybe the realty

Overall I've been pleasantly surprised with Geoff Ward's coaching decisions in these playoffs, giving more ice-time to the Bennett-Lucic-Dube line for example, and taking that key timeout tonight...

But, WHY THE #### is Gaudreau out there in the last minute of a tie game when he's done nothing to deserve it tonight, outside of a good pass on the PP. Infuriating.

With that being said, top line and Gio #### the bed tonight and we still almost stole a victory. I just hope Looch sends Benn through the boards and into another dimension tomorrow night.

We'll see, I don't think we can do much damage with only one line clicking.

People have been saying that for almost 2 years. I think at this point, its safe to assume the first line will not get it together.

Every game is the same. Not sure why anyone is expecting anything different.

Rotation was weird due to Tkachuk injury.

I think the lines down the stretch were:

Gaudreau - Monahan - Reider
Mangiapane - Backlund - Lindholm
Dube - Bennett - Lucic
Jankoski - Ryan -

Ward went to his first line. Didn’t work out but if it’s the 4th line out there and same thing happens then it’s “why is the 4th line out in the final minute”
