I don't think people are giving Dallas enough credit. Weren't they right near the top in the league defensively. This is their game, need some patience and grind through their game. Their forecheck has been really good.

The top line needs to be better, for sure. It’s game two of a 7 game series though, guys. Stars haven’t looked that great. We are only a couple goals down and get back to it tomorrow as well.

No need for the doom and gloom.

While I don’t think it’s fair to pin the struggles on Talbot tonight, but you have to absolutely make a save on the third goal. Can’t have those squeakers go in. So deflating going into the third down by two. Should be a one goal game which would be much more manageable

Maybe if our top players acted like our top players the people being hard on the team wouldn't be so negative. It's nice winning games, but I don't have much confidence in this group doing well when our third line is the best line night in and out. It's not like this is something new either, its a trend that went on all season and the break didn't seem to help it. If the Flames played an honest hard game, most people would be okay with losing... but we get games like this so often with this current group of Flames that its hard to stay positive about the group.

He plays timid and I think his frustrations submarine him even further, as we've seen in stretches during the regular season over the years. Such a disappointment to this point.
I agree totally. If we can flip him while out East and play his regular season stats to the hilt we could get a solid physical player back. I like Johnny but it is clear he is a regular season stud. Not a bad thing but he really should be playing on a second line on an elite team right now.

Time for a patented Flames 3rd period comeback. Monahan and Gaudreau with the goals - yes, Monahan and Gaudreau. Brodie with the winner.

Flames went 15 and 11 in 2004.

Many of those losses were ugly, especially San Jose and Detroit, if we are going to talk about the Cup.

It really is crazy!

If it continues the Flames will not get out of this round.

If they decide to make a positive difference and compete at a higher level, they’ll probably get to the next round.

Talbot has made a number of bug saves already. Guriabov and Seguin both had partial breaks that he turned away.

Rittich is not better than Talbot

St.Louis got beat 6-3 by Winnipeg in the first round. 7-2 by Boston in the finals.

I get fans are antsy about the game but holy the over-reaction here tonight is embarrassing.

Top line has 1 ES goal in the post season thus far.

It's unacceptable. Unfortunately, I have nothing to base any argument to suggest there's any reason to believe that they can just magically start playing like they 1.5-2 years ago when they were a top 5 line in the league.

Flames getting dominated by the Stars, who, to their credit, are playing their system brilliantly tonight. Forcing the Flames up the boards via chips and punts and making the game a slow grind.

Gaudreau, Monahan, Tkachuk, Backlund, Lindholm, Giordano all having poor nights so far 2/3 of the way through the game.

The Stars are arguably the most difficult team in the league to come back against so this will be huge for the Flames’ confidence if they win or get this to overtime. An early third goals will do wonders.

They NEVER got outworked or out competed.

A lot less skilled than the current team.
