Swap Janko and Reider and I agree, Tkachuk has already been cold, don't saddle him with Janko. For an extra twist you could even demote Gaudreau to the 3rd and put Mangiapane in his spot.

It's crazy how the #1 Forward line and #1 D-pair have the worst numbers on the team by far, yet the Flames overall are completely outplaying the opposition overall these Playoffs (not including tonight)

This is a very good point. Lots of interference by Dallas let go, and they call that weaksauce just as the Flames are tilting the ice. My brain knows the refs are just incompetent, but weak calls that impact games sure feel like they are done intentionally.

He plays timid and I think his frustrations submarine him even further, as we've seen in stretches during the regular season over the years. Such a disappointment to this point.

Yeah, we’ve been here enough and seen this story.
He can’t play 5v5 hockey during the playoffs - and he isn’t battling hard enough during the PP to be effective either. It’s heart wrenching. Love the player, but when you ghost your own team in the playoffs year after year...it just erases everything.
