Just re-watched the 3rd period of game 1. The only time the Stars had the puck in the slot was the result of Giordano getting tackled by the linesman and giving the Stars a 2 on 1
Otherwise, the Stars' entire offense has been trying to tip shots from the point. I am in favour of them continuing with this as their strategy.

today the 5 leaders in playoff games played in the Post Iginla era- Monahan, Gaudreau, Brodie, Bennett, Backlund will play their 26th career Flames playoff game ( interestingly all are Flames draftees drafted over a 7 year span)
this will put them in a tie for 47th place in Flames history with Reichel, Langkow, Gelinas, Clark and Saprykin (the latter 3 garnering all 26 games in the 04 run)
