In the playin round, the team that won first game , won 7 of the 8 series.
87.5 % success.
With the seven game series', the percentage drops a bit.

Without the travel, a compressed schedule probably won't be that bad. No dehydration from stale airplane air, no pressure changes, no late night travel, no time zones, no altitude differences, etc...

Interesting start times. Its a positive that the flames have never lost a midweek afternoon playoff game in August so I'm predicting a win on Tuesday to keep that streak alive.

The qualifying round was 3 games in 4 days to start as well. That worked out okay.
I'm annoyed that this was the one chance in my life for the Flames to play on my birthday, and they're not going to. Now, I just don't know if Friday or Sunday will be the 7-4 win.
Thursday is Johnny's birthday, so that will be a 7-2 win.

The key to winning the series will be to jump on them early. Ride the momentum from winning an actual series while the Stars get reacclimated to playing meaningful hockey. Especially with this compressed schedule, we could be up a game or 3 by the time the Stars understand what they're in for.
Although there's lots of bulletin board material out there already for the Stars with the "best possible matchup" talk, even from Calgary media guys. I'd take that personally if I was on that team.

I’m in Texas, and working from home. Also off on Friday and Monday. Schedule is perfect for me. At least the first 4 games. Hopefully all the Flames need.
Btw my bday on the 29th. We can count on a 4-0 win in the second round!

Honestly, the only wildcard that could shift this series is Radulov. He *always* gets up for games against the Flames.
