I don't think that those were words against Calgary from McDavid, rather stating that the Oilers team gets motivated for Calgary but had a harder time against Chicago for some reason.

Passed 12 million. They’re still processing entries and it continues to climb.

So many people overcharged, some
Up to 7 times, so I wonder how they’re gonna sort this out.

I bought some and got a gateway timeout message Saying my card wasn’t charged due to the error but didn’t hit refresh instead checked my cc and saw the purchase on there so closed the window. Then got emailed my tickets. Sounds like a lot of people hit refresh or reentered and ended up with way more than they wanted.

That's a huge misquote.

The reporter specifically mentioned Nurses's comment about them having more fight in the game vs Calgary than any point this series.

McDavid responded to that by basically saying they shouldn't have to play their rival Calgary to get up for the game.
Wasn't fightings words towards Calgary in the least.

Actually, the Oilers don't have to play Calgary to get up for the game. History shows that any exhibition game will do.

They only wilt when the games count for something, because a win might spoil their draft party.

Yeah he had no problem talking about how the skaters needed to be better.

We all saw him and James Neal in a heated exchange at the bench, probably arguing about who was worse in the room, and laughed heartily when they both ended up together, where they rightfully belong, in the home of no good.

5050 is closed but I guess a mess. People charged multiple times, some getting multiple emails with ticket numbers. I doubt they draw tonight.

Maybe because the opponent wasn't rusty from four months off and treating it like an exhibition game...

I don't see how anyone who signs with the Oilers can be bitter. Money and no other option are literally the only reasons why anyone would sign with them. It's certainly not to win.

Or maybe he really likes Soviet style architecture and shopping malls.

I get what you guys are saying about McStatpad's quote, but, IMO, he is saying that it was more important to the team to beat your guys than, say, play harder in a game for all the marbles against a different opponent. And, while I want my guys to slap down the Wings or the Blues, at every opportunity, I don't want them to dial back against a non-rival when the Playoffs are on the line. That is also a way to lose, look past the immediate opponent.

I have to say, I love the way that Edmonton lost maybe even more than the fact that Edmonton lost. Toews setting up the game winning goal on a battle down low that was decided on competitive drive is wonderful, followed by the Oilers taking a too many men penalty that is virtually an expression of a team not on the same page.

The Oilers showed unequivocally that they are not a hockey team. They are two globe trotters with a bunch of hangers on, and their two globe trotters can't beat anyone but the generals.

This feels like such a great victory for character, competitive drive, sacrifice for team success, and commitment to each other in a team.

The Oilers have none of that. They belong on the junk heap of history.

I should hate McDavid with my heart and soul at this point of his career, but I just feel bad for him.
Imagine if Gaudreau put up 9 pts in 4 games. We would be laughing as we sweep opponents.

You know it's screwed when the pot gains $4 million long after ticket sales have closed. It's now at $15.2M.

What was originally a good thing for charity has turned into an absolute gongshow.

Looking ahead, my guys have struggled with Vegas, and the 'Lanche are damn good. A couple of things have to be better for either matchup.

1. Crawford needs to stop fighting the puck, if he goes to cover, he's got to cover, and NOT cough the puck into traffic. (Which is how Draisaitl, Neal, and McStatpad got the majority of their scoring chances)
2. The Defensive coverage has to be more solid. Guys can't a. leave unchecked guys alone in front, and b. get caught on the wrong side of the guy they are supposed to be covering.
3. Stop taking careless and late period PIMs.
4. Miss the iron towards the INSIDE of open nets.
5. Cut down soft plays in the D-Zone. If you are going to clear the puck, clear the puck. If you are going to stretch the pass, do it with pace to better areas. And, dammit, stop just turning the puck over. Support has to come hard to the play, or else, has to stay with his check. Guys have to be aware of their assignment. (Saad really blew coverage on the 1st goal.)
6. Have to have more from the Strome line, too often the plumbers on the Kampf line were better.

We got some luck against a complacent team that had no idea how to defend. The 'Hawks can't count on that, going forward.
