I have a hard time understanding how a model could pick the Habs winning the series unless it's very heavily weighted on goaltending. Even at that Price is more good than great these days. It seems to favour quite a few underdogs.
I said Talbot should start, even though I have more faith in Rittich having a "big game"... Maybe give Talbot the reigns until/if we need a big game from BSD?
I dunno seems counter-intuitive. Odds are I'll just complain about whatever they do, lol.
IMO you aren't going far with Talbot. You might go far with Rittich, or you might be out in the qualifiers.
For that reason, you have to give it to Rittich. When he's on, he gives us the best chance to go far in the playoffs. With Talbot it's just a matter of time before we're eliminated, and I'd rather be out in the qualifiers than bounced in round 1.

I feel like I'm thinking they lose game 1 regardless, so that may as well be Talbot's start so they can swap to Rittich for game 2, instead of the other way around.
But that's not really positive thinking, so I'm going to just go have a beer and a burger
If Flames want to succeed Tkachuk is going to have to drive Hellebuyk wild. Park him and Looch in front of the net alternating shifts, take a couple of hardish interference calls early on, and hope to get in his grill.................and of course, hope they can kill the penalties.
Rittich has more upside IMO, more potential to be great.
Regardless of which one you pick, they need to be at or near their best, or the Flames aren't going anywhere anyway. So pick the goalie who has the upside, the potential to be greater.
