Fisher is such a disaster. It’s time to cut bait (no pun intended).

Even if Vladdy goes on a huge hitting streak, he is in my opinion horribly out of shape.
There is obvious love handles ( to coin a phrase) and after there was an earlier report of him getting in shape , it sure seems to me there has been no positive change in his weight.
Don’t get me wrong I’m not body shaming. I’m built for feed not for speed. However I have serious doubts about his potential.

I was nervous about all the hype that Vladdy was getting before making it to the show, because I knew it would be impossible to live up to it. His rookie season was pretty good for a normal rookie, but for him it felt like a let down because he didn’t hit .300 with 30 bombs. And with his ongoing weight issues I worry that he’s projecting towards a Pablo Sandoval type rather than a Frank Thomas. I’m still cautiously optimist that it’s the latter, and I still get excited when he comes to the plate, but a little dedication to his craft would be much appreciated.

So nice to see Teo picking up where he left off last year after coming back from his demotion.
The guy so likable, and he's got some really nice tools to work with.

I really want to like Fisher but I'd don't think there's much there to work with. Doesn't have a head for the game I am afraid.

Help, save, whatever.

Does any one get a Joey Bats vibe watching Lourdes Gurriel Jr in the batters box? His body type is the same as a young Bautista and he's got that swagger. He already is a little mouthy with the umps too. Loved seeing him hand out the hand sanitizer in the dugout.

I think of the "4" he will have the best career. I love everything about his game and he continues to improve. People often forget he lost nearly 2 years of development trying to defect. Him and Biggio will have the longest careers with Gurriel with the better numbers.
His transition to left field has been great.

Unlikely IMO. Since you were quoting someone comparing him to Bautista I'll point out that Biggio as a hitter resembles Bautista way more then Gurriel. I mean plate discipline + flyball tendencies + heavy pull sude approach pretty much defined Bautista as a hitter.
