I like the show as well, mostly watched the youtube highlights while @ work.
Re. the clip you posted, how could they justify arresting the whole family?
Granted, they needed a good talking and the dumb kid maybe a warning about mouthing off to the Police, but wow what an overreaction!
I do'n think mouthing off to the police is a crime.

I'm partway through it now. He gets it so, so right about the Don Lemon thing at about 8 minutes.

Fair enough. My high school experience was before cops were invented. But my daughter went to Scarlett and when I was there with her the cop was a female who was just hanging around shooting the #### with kids. That was a good impression but highly anecdotal of course. And a high school serving 'affluent' communities. It just seems like a good idea if implemented properly, with the right personnel and mandate. Clearly, that is not the case everywhere, if anywhere.

The Los Angeles County Sheriff’s Department is investigating the death of a 24-year-old Black man who was found hanging from a tree near Palmdale City Hall earlier this week, authorities said.
Sheriff’s officials said Friday that it appeared the man died by suicide, though a full autopsy is planned.
No, but it's not as uncommon a way to suicide as people think. I can think of 6 cases off the top of my head of similar (found hanging in tree) instances in Calgary (of course, they did not make the news). This is something that needs to be looked into, for sure. And they should probably have used "alleged suicide". Given all that's going on, self harm is on the rise.

"it appeared the man die by suicide." Is just a wordier way of saying alleged suicide.
Ugh, cringy. "Thanks Dave! Kids think I'm hip to the hop now!"
He called you out for calling on "people with a platfrom" as you put it, and smacked you around for the idea. And then you back pedaled on live t.v. lol.
Its okay Don Lemon, at least you know you're a minor leaguer who just got smoked by the G.O.A.T.
I sincerely hope some of the people I've been debating with in my circles watch that Chapelle video. A few moments of someone so educated on his society break it down for all to understand why whats happening is happening.

Was anyone here ever that kid that tried to fake a book report in school?
I think that's what people are trying to say though. Cops aren't bad people, but the system needs to be reimagined. The solution can't be arming our cops like they are heading to Kandahar. That makes no sense.
Our society has never been safer but we have cops out there with armored vehicles.
Some are small minded idiots with pathetic little dicks, they became cops in hopes to rise above their smallness
Here’s the thing. I know being a cop is hard. I know that ####’s dangerous. I know it is, okay? But some jobs can’t have bad apples.
Some jobs, everybody gotta be good. Like … pilots. Ya know, American Airlines can’t be like, 'Most of our pilots like to land. We just got a few bad apples that like to crash into mountains. Please bear with us.

We didn't choose him. You did. They killed him, and that wasn't right, so he's the guy.
We're not desperate for heroes in the black community. Any ##### that survives this nightmare is my god damned hero."
Wow.

^Yeah, I had a similar reaction to that moment. That's one of those pieces that will be looked back on historically as being culturally important at the time.
