I was interested in him as well - he checked a box (speed).  However, any points he gets have McDavid inflation on them (see Maroon, Chiasson, Neal, Kassian...).  AA has speed for sure.  He is also apparently a horrible defensive player, and that's also on brand for the Oilers.  
He's a RFA with arbitration rights.  They will overpay.  he will settle into a mediocre player.  There's a reason Detroit marketed him over the many other RFAs they have to sign.  
I happen to think he won't mesh that well with McDavid.  He likes to race down the wing with the puck - that's McDavid's job.  He has tunnel vision and doesn't seem to use linemates much.  McDavid needs a guy who can din open ice, settle into a spot and finish what McDavid starts.  Ennis has a much better chance of sticking on a line with McDavid IMO.  
My overall point, however, is that there's only one puck and, if AA gets 20 on a line with McDavid, how's that different than Chiasson getting 20 on a line with McDavid in 2018-19?  Or Kassian having 15 this year?
