Soul, the 'Hawk D has a rook that has been burned twice, in Boqvist, a turnover and penalty machine in Murphy, a defenseman that can't play defense in Gustafsson, a NHL/AHL tweener in Koekoek. You guys can't still get back into this...dump the puck behind those four, to make them turn, and you will be able to get opportunities from the weak side trailer.

You could add any 3 players to this roster, I mean anyone...not trade for them, just magically add them to this roster and the team would still suck. DON'T GIVE UP ASSETS FOR THIS TEAM. Make smart choices and add assets, this team needs more than just a shakeup.

I actually think that the Flames, as bad as they’ve been, could get an undeserved win. The hawks are that bad this year.

You should forward that to the coaching staff.
Though as mentioned I honestly don't think the Hawks overall are much worse than the flames this year. 8 points back with two games in hand. It's not like the flames are a premier team playing a bottom feeder. It's one mediocre bubble team playing another slightly lower rebuilding team.

Yeah I don't know. Or maybe all 3 were approached and all 3 turned the Flames down. I really don't know.
I just don't think this is a team that any of the 3 would be jumping out to coach today. Seattle will need a coach and there will be other openings. They can see what's out there and still circle back to the Flames later if they wanted.
This isn't a young team breaking out, or an elite team in a funk. They're just.........average and going nowhere fast. I wouldn't rush into that if I was them.

My hot take: This team doesn't suck now. And the notion that adding ANY three players to the Flames still doesn't make them a good team is absolutely absurd

Sad reality is, we the fans care more than the players. I can't remember a team that has been this up and down in my time watching this sport. A serious evaluation of all players in the organization needs to take place in the offseason. No player should be considered untouchable IMO.

Not to mention a team with one of the leagues worst prospect pools. With a GM who at times seems intent on dealing away top picks(though I like the Hamilton trade for picks). Doesn't make for a long term career decision.

Talbot didn’t have a hope on either goal. Rittich on the other hand, pretty meh effort from him tonight. To be honest his game these days reminds me of the second half of last season, pretty average.
