I worry for the acrimony in this primary between candidate supporters. They're competitors not opponents - you're ultimately on the same side, people. The two party system necessitates a big tent to unify behind a candidate - and it just seems like the Dems are destined to enter the circular firing squad as Obama warned. You're facing Donald fricken Trump, people. The stakes could not be higher.
Hmmmm.
I think the Dems have a big tent. The GOP does not. They just have a few key issues and be evil.

Could someone tell me, specifically, what it is about Bernie that scares the DNC so much?
Not a generalization like “he’s not a part of the establishment”.
Their concerns are laid out pretty clearly in the emails from 2016. Highlights:
1. He's against the existing establishment, including the DNC.
2. Bernie is less popular within the DNC than established members like Clinton and Biden.
3. Bernie is not really a Democrat. He spent much of his political career as an independent.
4. He advocates politics that don't align with DNC positions.
5. He is of Jewish background. Which could put off some voters.
6. Even though of Jewish background, he's not religious enough. Which could put off other voters.

I know you guys don't watch Tucker, but hes absolutely on fire tonight. And he does explain why the Democrats are scared of Bernie and why today they are attacking Iowans.

I mean, I'll watch if he's literally on fire, but not for any other reason.

I'd be worried about running a socialist against Trump too if I were Dems, he'd be a total wildcard. Could pay off huge, could result in a landslide against Dems. No one likes risk.

Because the DNC is as beholden to big business and the ultra-rich as the GOP is, and they’d rather turn the country over to fascists permanently than change the system to benefit anyone other than those groups?

Or...Bernie is a Socialist, the American populace outside some Millennials is anti-socialism, Trump will play socialism to the hilt. Bernie will go nuts, average people will get scared. Dems lose.
He’s a bad candidate if you want to win an election, but really outside Biden who do they have who could win?

There is also a considerable risk to the down ballet candidates if Sanders is the nominee. A huge part of the electorate is going to not want anything to do with what either candidate is selling. The moderates that reluctantly vote Sanders may well split their ticket to ensure Sanders can't actually implement anything, or they could stay home or they could decide that Sanders socialist policies are just too far left for them to be comfortable supporting and vote for Trump. All those scenarios hurt the house and senate chances, and pile on to that all Republicans will be turning out like crazy to support house and senate candidates for fear of letting the communist have any power. Sanders as nominee could very well hand Trump another 4 years with a Republican house and a large Senate majority.

Naw Dogbert's answer is the correct one. The Dem machine is greased by the same money that funds Republicans and a non-Corporatist President is bad for business.
You think Bernie is good for the Military-Industrial Complex?

They released a little bit more of it but there’s still 29% outstanding. What I’ve seen is that the 29% may help Sanders and Klobuchar significantly. Not sure the party would be thrilled with a Sanders 1st, Biden 5th outcome, so I suspect things may get slow walked between now and New Hampshire.
