I hate his "and that's player's X amount of goals in Y amount of games against this team". He says it after every single goal, and must think hes some sort of stat's wiz. Unless it is a meaningful development (20 goals in 25 games) or something, it's just pointless. "Matt Benning's first career goal against the Flames in his 11th career game". Wow cool stat...
Sorry, that post wasn't totally clear, I was referring to a player hanging his knee at the rate that Howe led with his elbows. Not Giordano in this case.
Although, Giordano is currently being viewed as scum by at least two fan bases, three if we include the Canes.
Appreciate that.
I can appreciate where the vitriol from Wild fans comes from over the Koivu injury.
What I can’t is that he’s a perpetually offensive or dirty player.

I chuckled at that. Made it sound like the Benning stat was something to behold too. Awkward and weird when it's like he doesnt realize he's listing stats that are both uninteresting and unimpressive.
So let me get this straight... Neal played last night?
Not gonna lie, after coming up to 19 goals for the year so far, I'd be pretty miffed if the guy can't even muster up 2 more in the remaining 30 games. But watching him yesterday and pretty much seeing the same old washed up Neal, that could still realistically happen.
The way I see it, the way his body is positioned as he lines that hit up, he was going to make contact with the knees one way or another. But that's hypothetical on my part.
At best, it's a hit that was a reckless, and super late in forming so it ended up becoming a knee-on-knee which is real bad. And it seems to happen with Gio a bit too frequently for my liking.
The angle makes it hard to tell. If that's the only angle, I'd say its a nothing play.

Yeah, if he doesn't score tonight against the Blues, he will have a grand total of 0 goals in January. After that NYE hattrick game, I thought that 3rd pick was in the bag. I am starting to get a little concerned he might not make it.
Does anybody here know or heard if a goalie has ever received 2 penalties on the same play like Smith should have last night? I was thinking about that play and got me wondering why we don't see that happen more often with so many goalies playing the puck. Or has it happened before and I just missed it?
