hey genius, you just lost back to back games to your biggest rival, got yourself suspended, and blew the season series tie breaker to a team that could use it to keep you out of the playoffs.

For which the Oil will now pay him over 12 million dollars until the age of 33.
Lol. E=ng.

Thank The Maker Gagner missed, as he is prone to do.

Exactly. If anything, the Oilers broadcasts are amusing in small doses. They're so bad one almost cannot help but obsess over them. I laughed out loud last night when they unveiled the game stars.

Holy hell, that was a fun game. No voice this morning. I don’t know if it translated to TV but it was loud in there. Lots of Tkachuk Jerseys there.
Such a great game by both teams. Love the intensity and the hatred they have towards each other. It’s been missing for years. As a fan since the 80’s it’s sucked the past years when I get pumped for the BOA and it’s such a letdown. Didn’t dissapoint!
Well 2 points back with 2 games in Hand. Can’t wait till Saturday!

Why do we call hockey pundits analysts? They're just media personalities trying to pump up interest in the game. Aside from say, Friedman, or McKenzie, do any of them actually analyze anything or have insider information? Using the term "analyst" makes them sound I don't know...objective...and intelligent as if they have more knowledge than your average fan.
Especially on an Oilers broadcast, they're paid shills for the team. Take their opinion for what it is. Opinion.

-SN using a graphic of Kassian throwing a punch while Tkachuk has his hands up: completely bush league and unprofessional.
-I thought Tkachuk should not have even fought Kassian. Why give the ape what he wants. Keep him unhinged. On the other hand, he would be likely to legit injure one of the Flames, so I guess it's worth answering the bell so no one gets hurt.
-Still hoping Rinaldo dresses and fights someone next game.
-Monahan fight was great and unexpected.
-Rittich is a treasure

He had an assist and 4 big hits and wasn’t a liability at any point. What more do you want from him?

I would make minor line up changes for Saturday. Rieder out for Dube. That's about it.
Don't take the beef out of the lineup because you think the issue is buried. Leave Rinaldo in there. Keep Robinson in there, etc.
Flames control the match up so no need to keep Lucic with Tkachuk again, so get Mangiapane back up there.

Who do you think the Oilers would put in net? I assume they are going to play Koskinen against the Blues, so do we get Smith again? Plz.

Don't let any of the side plots fool you. The only story is that the Flames have beat the Oilers three straight.

Hamonic was stellar last night. He was physical, he was in the passing lanes, and most of all, he made Neal his bitch all game long. Gotta love having a D man who can win those battles.

Watched the highlights again this morning.
Thought the whole Kassian Tkachuk feud ended as perfectly as it could. Tkachuk stood up, Kassian gave him props in the post game and nothing silly happened. Everybody goes home happy including the league.
Monahan and Nuge chucking them was awesome. Reminded me of Conroy vs Gagner and Cogliano vs Boyd. That’s what the battle of Alberta is all about.
Flames came out strong and I thought we might be in for a bit of a Mike Smith sideshow, but he settled in after that first goal against. Made some good saves including stoning Ryan on the breakaway.
Rittich was great and made some good saves when the Flames were lacking energy in the second and third. Flames looked a bit tired to me in the second half of the game, but found some opportunities to capitalize on.
Thought Gio deserved a penalty for that play on McDavid, however a few of the other calls were pretty soft.
Overall a great game

I can't believe how bad Hanafin was this game. He was totally undressed by McDavid in the first and Rittich saved his bacon. Rittich couldn't on Benning's goal.
You could see McDavid try the no look headfake a few times in the game but didn't go for it because the Flames D was keeping a good defensive posture. Meanwhile Hanafin's poor defense made Benning of all people look like McDavid.
He needs to be sat, he almost singlehandedly cost us the game.
