It’s safe to say that when the score is a tie or one goal game, you just don’t take a stupid penalty to give the other team a PP. You keep your temper in check and stay disciplined. Coaches know this, Fans know this, Everyone at the NHL level knows this
Except for Caveman Kass
An average intelligent person would look back and realize he got played and let his temper get the best of him. In sports, it’s understandable to act in the heat of the moment. The best part of all this is Kassian, cooled off and had a bit of time to reflect, responds to the press saying “that was fun, I would totally do that again”
Lol! Truly a Neanderthal who still haven’t figured it out

Classic Kris Russell. On his hands and knees as the other team celebrates the GWG.

It’s not the easiest thing to do.
Hate the player (and his stupid team), but maybe have a little compassion and class when it comes to personal issues?

He’s used to it, if you would’ve clicked the link, because the city where he plays, has the most amount of meth in its water supply. You probably wouldve gotten the same reaction from whichever scrub they had in the box for Kassian.

Kassian just might be the dumbest person in hockey.
When you're saying the stuff he did, saying how fun it was, smiling.........after you just cost your team the game........you are an idiot.
You do you Zack. Never change. Take another stupid penalty next game and smile.

I did click the link. You made a couple posts about Kassian regarding substance abuse. All I’m saying is perhaps it would be better to leave personal stuff out of it. Despite the fact that he’s a dumb as a rock, mouth-breathing, coiler scumbag, He’s still a human, like you and me.
To my knowledge, your personal foibles (should there be any) haven’t been put out there on the internet. How would you like it if they had been?
Would that be alright with you? I doubt it.
Be cool to your fellow humans dude.:-)

Oilers shot themselves in the foot a bunch of times. Draisaitl, with him centering his on line a several occasions he extended his shifts keeping McDavid on the bench. Thanks Drai.
Also Kassian, nuff said. I think the refs bent over badly not to thow the book at him. He probably could have also picked up 2 min for not leaving the ice and engaging with his helmet off.

Probably the best regular season game in years.
Brodie was an absolute beast - best player on the ice. Great game from Talbot and great to see him get the win, which he clearly relished.
Thought Bennett had a great game. Sure, he missed on a couple passes - his confidence is shot - but the guy plays with passion, and was great in his own zone tonight.
Tkachuk absolutely owned Kassian all night, and what a poetic finish to have Kassian in the box for the game winner.

Oh, and Lindholm was a beast, matched up against McDavid all night.
Thought Kylington was really good. He is starting to become a really solid player. And Andersson is just a beaut.

As an outsider and long time devotee of the Calgary Flames, that was an awesome win tonight ! And as a few posters commented earlier in this thread, it was a very special insight/interview with Chris & Kelsie Snow. Very humbling to me to witness their compassion, authenticity and reality of life. Very kind and healthy wishes to Chris !

A five game suspension would keep the caveman out of the next two Battle of Alberta games.
