Just watched the highlight of Kassian going after Tkachuk (did not get to see the game tonight).

Perhaps Kassian was perturbed by Tkachuk's earlier hit on him. Fair enough. But the hit that led to Kassian's immediate response was totally clean.

Conclusion?

-Kassian is #NoGood
-Kassian's actions were #NoGood
-The Oilers are #NoGood
-We should start a petition to remove the (c)Oilers from the NHL

I can’t get enough of Kassian’s interview after the game. It’s filled with so much salt, ignorance, stupidity, and hilarity. My favourite part is gloating about 13 goals. That’s basically akin to saying “my dad could beat up your dad”... You got 13 goals by allowing Mcavi to bounce pucks off you. Maroon did the same thing before being cast away and has been what he has always been, a 4th liner.

Hey Browna bud, I think you should maybe lay off the substance abuse issues with Kassian. I’m not a fan of the player at all, but the fact that he’s still in the league speaks to the possibility that he’s overcome some demons in that regard. Maybe cut the guy a break for that kinda stuff. It’s not the easiest thing to do.

Hate the player (and his stupid team), but maybe have a little compassion and class when it comes to personal issues?

Spector always manages to show cracks in his composure when his team loses to the Flames. It's pretty much habitual.

But same with most of the Oilers columnists. Amazing how bad they are at handling losing, even though they're so practiced at it.

Edit: just saw Staples twitter feed where he's collecting images of Tkachuk poorly photoshopped into turtle shells, looking very amused with himself and spewing clearly butthurt nickname tweets on par with what a 12 year old might post.

Look to me as soon as he horse collared MT flung him to the ice and started throwing punches at a vulnerable player its no better then a sucker punch. The league needs to look at it, they won't but they should.


Plus this guy is a repeat offender being suspended multiple times, including a 8 game suspension for a disgusting face breaking of Gagner.



To me this should be at least a 5 game suspension, it sounds harsh but this idiot clearly doesn't learn and to me tonight was a really dangerous play on his part.
