No kidding.

The importance of being proficient at winning one goal games really can't be overstated. ESPECIALLY when you're able to lock things down with half a game or more to go, and not give it up.

It gets the Flames more and more comfortable in situations with the game on the line, which is something that will benefit them in a massive way in playoff situations where that is often the case.

Call me crazy, but as a fan that wants to see this team become successful, I prefer the choking out of opponents like tonight and against Chicago than winning in a scoring race 6-4. Winning by filling the net is something that won't last cause you can't bank on being able to do that every single night. Being strong at the tight checking games is more encouraging. Let the 4-1 type wins come when they're feeling it.

Talbot was certainly the difference maker in the last two games. I like the Flames game overall but they are definitely giving up a lot of quality chances. Last season they were much better at shot suppression.

The Flames in the final 40 minutes:

Shots: 15-26 (36.58%)
Scoring chances: 8-26 (23.53%)
High Danger Chances: 2-13 (13.33%)
xGF: 1.08-2.58 (29.51%)

Ugly, ugly, ugly.

Again, thank you Talbot.

Need more of how they played 5v5 in Minnesota and Chicago, less of how they played 5v5 tonight

You must lead a very depressing and joy-sucked life.

Need to trade for Pekka Rinne. Not to play goal. To score ENGs.

Like I said, you can usually count on your goalies to steal a few games a year.

This was one of those games. Thank you Talbot

Minny's season is in danger at this point. Not surprising that they pushed that hard for the remainder of the game after getting down 2-1.

I missed some of the third but I really didn't see too much that gave me a heart attack from us (despite what those stats say). Talbot's rebound control helped things though.

A win is a win is a win.

At least we didn't need third period pity PPs to take the game.

And what are you up to? Half way through paying for the Centre Street Bridge?

Come on guys, he is making a valid point. The flames are far from perfect. Don't like it? Ignore it and move on.

NaturalStatTrick is very fast and easy to access on a phone.

Check it every period during the game

No need for insults. Just posting statistics that anyone can easily find.

But having travelled to 9 countries in the last 6 months and going back to the States for 6 weeks in February for business at the age of 21, I would say I'm living an okay life.
