I don't equate "stealing a game" with not deserving to win.
My take is grammatical: if something is stolen it is not earned and does not belong to the thief. The Flames earned that win in spite of a tonne of adversity.

If it was earned, then it cannot by definition be stolen.

No Gaskal so I actually had to text an Oiler fan friend of mine what he thought about the game, after 9 spelling mistakes and what I think might be a negative comment about my Mom , I don't think sweatpant nation up there liked it

I think stalock is probably still prone in the wild goal waiting to see what dube does with it.

Frustrating to watch as every time we got momentum, it was lost almost immediately but they kept going.

Win is a win. Onwards.

However, in fairness, a couple of one-goal wins against teams not in playoff spots isn't going to be enough to remove the concerns that some have about this team. I'd like to see more consistency from these guys.

Some people need to chill and be a bit more level headed. The same group of people coming out to cry "the sky is falling.., the sky is falling" every time the Flames are down a goal is a little tiring. We have plenty of threads to talk about the Flames inconsistencies after the game. I usually just stay away from the GT and enjoy the game, I had faith they would pull through, They overcame some tough goals, bent but didn't break. They deserve it, the whiners not so much!

I think that was my biggest peeve, more than once Minny scored within a minute after the Flames scored. Giant kick in the balls every time. Hard to get things rolling when that happens. So good on them for showing some resiliency and not folding.

This team is learning to win, good. Secondary scoring, even better.

David Rittich stats, good. Does not reflect his play though, likeable guy for sure, but he scares the #### out of me on the ice. I bet the team feels the same way. He can let any goal in from any where at any time. I hope he can pull it together, that will be a game breaker moving forward, especially in the play offs.

After we tied on the forth goal, the wild came right back and hit the post, I think that was the wake up call that they had to start pushing back. Good team win!

Exciting win. I kind of get the the term "stolen". The Wild thought they had the game and we stole it from their grasp.

But Flames deserved the two points as much as the Wild. Ryan's SO goal was massive. Super clutch.

Gaudreau with two points but not a good game IMO. A lot of players were solid, no one really stood out for me one way or the other.

There is simply no reason for Rittich to be 4th in the league in minutes played. It really makes me questions what the hell these guys are thinking TBH.

I think splitting points was an accurate outcome of the general run of play all night.

Flames simply cannot get behind almost every night; tonight they battled back each time but often games, under Ward, they’ve not come all the way back, especially in the third.

And further to that, Rittich has to stop letting multiple below average goals in which get the team behind; this is 3 games in a row that’s occurred. Changes the mentality of an always fragile team while giving the opponent the all important momentum.

I think the best part of any ATL is Oiler fans' tears.

When I read ATL’s I’m always stunned at the hate Gio gets. Maybe I’m biased but in my opinion he’s one of the classiest players in the league and as we all know is an excellent human being off the ice too. He always gives 100%. A leader in every sense of the word. Just baffling that anyone could hate Gio.

I forgot to pvr the game so, after I got home from celebrating my birth, I had to use the Telus restart feature to watch the whole game. Commercials, intermissions and all.

Well worth it.

Definitely a lot of negativity, and it kinda looked like things were going to go the other teams way, but a puck that bounced in (no kicking motion!) sparks some belief. A lot of back and forth, and some questionable reffing for sure, but the goaltending got better and in the end, an unlikely hero emerges with a beautiful backhand top shelf. Good guys win!

... Oh ya, and the Flames played today too.

Gio is a true leader in every sense of the word. He’s a phenomenal role model and a great guy in general to all of his teammates. You are so right, the hate for him is baffling.
