it was a ####ty game... move on.

who are they going to hire at this point of the season honestly?

Ward is going to get the rest of the year, no way in hell is management going to replace Ward now after firing Peters...

If there was someone better, the time to have hired him was when Peters was let go...

A long time ago I sat down low in Toronto at a game. A D man made a crappy pass to Sundin that he couldn’t receive. Heard him say “what the #### was that?”

Doesn’t mean anyone didn’t like playing with Sundin, by any accounts.

Can’t see through Rittich’s mask but he could have easily told Brodie he couldn’t see the shot. Maybe asked him politely to please leave him the shot.

If so, big deal. These are big boys.

Let’s see how his presser compares to Smith

I'm not convinced the Flames were that bad tonight. they had a good amount of really good looks that they just missed on. Way too many blown chances, but they were still creating them. They had a nice look at end of 2nd period to make it 3-2, that would have been huge.

Rittich's leaky first period to me was the difference. He didn't have it tonight and should have been pulled after goal number two.

Flames can leap frog Arizona and Vancouver with a W on Tuesday night to take over 2nd in the division. Fine by me.

You don’t send a guy to the third pairing that you will be trading at the trade deadline. Don’t want to tank his value.

Yes and no. At 5v5, the Flames led the Canucks in scoring chances 24-16 (60%) but in terms of high danger chances, the Canucks dominated 7-2 (77.78%).

However, overall, the Flames led scoring chances 38-22 (63.33%) and high danger chances 9-8 (52.94%).

Tonight was definitely not a night to remember for Rittich.

He definitely gave Brodie a two second "WTF" stare after Brodie slipped right in front of him as the shot passed.

Also, kind of unfortunate that Rittich didn't understand there were about 4-5k Canucks fans that were mostly responsible for the Bronx cheer after a routine save after the two goals.

He kind of had a Carey Price moment, throwing his hands to the side and going "are you ****ing kidding me?". Don't want the guy to think the fans would turn on him that easily and unfortunately it looks like he did think that.

I've seen that before in Calgary with goalies getting a Bronx cheer with 4-5k Oilers/Leafs/Habs/Canucks fans. I guess they're in the moment and just react, but you'd think they'd know 25% of the arena cheering against your team that's likely were the mockery is coming from.

I’ve completely lost faith in this Jekyll and Hyde team. I don’t see any potential in the team, they have some decent pieces but overall a very mediocre bunch and definitely not a playoff team (not that they’d do anything if they made it anyway).

Burn the tape move on. It was just one of those nights. Those weak goals just killed any confidence the team had. All that was compounded by the fact they couldn't hit the net. No coincidence the first goal was a second chance off the initial shot.

I watched a huge chunk of the game before giving up and watching the Harley Quinn cartoon. The Canucks are just a flat out faster team right now. Either Calgary is a step and a half slower or they were really indecisive tonight.

No way, Blaster is excellent, as far as opposing fans go. He's always been pretty partial, with a slight Canucks bias. He rips the Canucks when they suck or make bad trades/signings and commends them for good moves, and does pretty much the same with the Flames.

Odd choice of opposing fans to go after.

“Definitely not a playoff team” as the team sits in a playoff spot and is only 3 points back of first place in the division.

Some of you guys need to get a grip on reality.

Ok should have been more specific: not a team that can go deep, IF they make the playoffs. How’s that?

They played like ass, there is no excusing it. Bad passes, #### effort, a few notable moments and Talbot did ok coming in but they is all, they had some chances and those go in they might even win but that speaks more to Nuck's sucking then anything. If the Flames play a good game Nuckleheads arent even in the conversation. It wasnt even their good goalie ffs.

Crap game, flush it and move on.

Yeah he definitely looks right at Brodie. Hard to say without some context or an idea of what gets said, but looks like a goalie blaming his teammate.

Rittich has been good this year. Good goalies will let in stinkers from time to time.

Bad goalies let in stinkers on a consistent basis.

Good teams don't fold when a good goalie lets in a bad goal.

Most teams fold when bad goalies are always hurting their chances to win.

Rittich is good. Flames went downhill after Rittich let in the 2nd goal. Not a good commentary on the team, as a whole, if they let one goal affect the rest of their game. This isn't a winning team. They need bigger heart and more players with winning attitudes.

Gaudreau is not the 1st line winger this year. Johnny and Monny have been replaced with Lindholm and Tkachuk.

highly doubt it

Vancouver is 1 point up with 1 more game played and Edmonton is one point back. Calgary's first half was a way harder schedule

Outplaying both these teams in the 2nd half guarantees top 3, seems like a good bet IMO
