It shows just how very limited their perception is.
They've been spoiled and with their outlandish shooting percentages they appear to be the lucky ones. I look forward to both teams regressing to the mean.

It's amazing how mediocre the West has been this year. Miraculously, the Flames are only 1 point out of a wildcard spot, even after their extended losing skid. Lots of opportunity here to move up the standings quickly if they can string a few wins together. Or at the very least, continue to pick up points in their next few games.

Rittich did own it as his mistake, to be clear. Not saying it wasn’t.
Either way, he made so many huge saves he really stole this one

Yeah, looked like Rittich tried shooting it into the corner but it hit Gio and deflected out into the crease.

I'm so over these comebacks. It's been five years of the same stuff, the novelty has worn off. Win the game in the first 58 minutes, you frauds.

I agree with the fraud comment. This team eeks out wins on skill alone, and because of the skill level, they only have success against unsuccessful teams (our record vs. playoff/non-playoff teams last year I believe shows this). Execution is still horrid. The hockey is ugly and unentertaining.
Even when the Flames do execute, it’s incredibly inconsistent and unsustainable for this group. Those 60 or so odd games last year seem like a total anomaly for this group, and in a larger sense for this organization. Comparing this team to teams like the Capitals, Blues, Bruins, or evening the relentlessly hardworking Islanders has me questioning what’s the point. This team has rebuilt itself into the exact same quality of team we saw during the Iginla era. Nothing more than a ill-constructed, inconsistent team with no real identity.

Big win today! With Johnny playing like this, we are lacking a game breaking type of player. Until he returns to form, or someone else steps up, I see 500ish hockey going forward.

Seeing how you should be running an NHL what would you do to fix it? Get rid of skill and sign 15 grinders? Just wondering how all those NHL teams haven't got you under contract yet.

Is your point that critical of analysis by fans is useless? I mean, you’re on a hockey forum. What type of conversation would you like to see, what type of conversation do you come here to partake in?
Build your roster correctly. Hire a good coach. Hope your team gets hot at the right time - that’s pretty much the best you can hope for. This team hasn’t built its roster to an adequate level, the GM knows it (and why he’s calling himself out in the media). I think Tree screwed up in fast tracking the rebuilding process on a few moves, and it’s why our centre depth sucks and why the rest of our forward depth is lacking.

critical analysis and whining are two different things. You NEVER mention a solution, hate the GM, hate the Coach, hate the style of play, hate the skilled players but have no solutions. Whining. If you hate everything about the Flames why do you watch?

I don't understand this take on CP. The team looks terrible, the gm, the coach, the top players, the depth players, all of it,other than perhaps the goaltending.
This is what the franchise has done for decades. A year of positives, and then falling back into averageness.
You xan call it skepticism, negativity, whining, but whatever man, this team ain't winning crap again. I see nothing wrong with hardcore fans being upset. This isn't bandwagon'ing. It's the opposite of being blind homers.

No issue with criticism, but every game is the same comments. Come up with a realistic solution ONCE. Get a new coach - who? Get a new GM - who? Get better players - they did alright last year didn't they. Complaining without solutions is whining. Try to enjoy a win. The same group of people are exactly the same every game, win or lose. If you don't enjoy it, why ruin your day watching.
Some of us come in here to enjoy a win but it instantly turns into the resident experts telling everyone what the team did wrong every game.
