It's mostly because he's not very bright. His speech is terrible. Religion.... Bootstraps....Values...
This is exactly what the conservative party should be avoiding. Drop the archaic views on social issues and the idiotic obsession with corporate welfare and you can easily win.

I get your point, but your math is extremely misleading. What we really have is about 1/3 on the right, 1/3 in the centre, and 1/3 on the left.
The problem for the conservatives is that they are currently being run by social conservatives who are very far right which alienates a lot of people who are centre-right.
But saying 2/3 of Canadians want something else is very misleading. Two thirds of Canadians don't want the Liberals either.

He needs to. Don’t make the same mistake democrats did where they banged their head over and over wondering why no one embraced Hilary. I didn’t think the cons would win after talking to people in my circle over the weekend who weren’t voting for him despite being in O&G. Let’s nominate Rona unless she also has anti gay marriage from 2005. Would love to see the male feminist and his team create an attack campaign against a woman.

Sheer dropped the 'founded on Conservative values' line. Even assuming that only means the really good 'conservative' values, that in and of itself is not going to garner support.

I based it on population, taking the lastest stats can estimates from here:
https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/List_o..._by_population
Numbers skew a bit more to Ont and BC than from the 2015 census numbers, but the jist is the same, distrbution of about 15 seats, from Sask/Man and the Atlantic provinces, with Ontario being the main recepient, followed by AB and BC.

A big part of the issue is our Conservatives have been looking south to the GOP for some time hoping what works down there will translate to up here and it just wont

I know you want to play the victim, but no one would have cared if Scheer was anti-gay in 2005 as long as he was clear that he had grown and have come to see the LGBT+ as equals and apologized for his discriminatory views and votes.
Except he went the other way and said numerous times that his position and views never changed.

150k vote difference between Green and the Bloc - 29 seat difference.
I won't get into the FPTP debate, but it is hard to not really seriously question how unjust this electrical system is.

Well it has to some degree. The Republican strategy is to develop a solid base and then try to get more of their voters to the polls (and suppress Democrat voters). The CPC are clearly running the same playbook to some degree but it doesn't work due to where their base is concentrated.

Ontario, with 9 more.
Also gaining seats would be:
Alberta (5)
BC (3)
Losing seats would be:
Sask (4)
PEI, NB (3 each)
NS,Man,Quebec (2 each)
Newfoundland (1)

A province can lose seats but no more than 15% at a time.
