Rams also offed Marcus the business decision tackler Peters to the Ravens earlier for LB Kenny Young.
These draft pick deals in season usually do not work out. Very seldom the team getting draft picks in a non draft trade loses the deal in the longer term.

Gotta think Gurley is gone after the year at least. This trade is a real disaster if they don’t re-sign Ramsey and they gotta shed salary somewhere.

I assume they will franchise him if they can't work out a deal but considering the king's ransom they gave up to get him I can't imagine why they wouldn't be prepared to offer him a large contract. I will say he's a much better fit for their scheme than Peters as Ramsey excels in man coverage which Phillips likes to employ.

Either way I imagine Ramsey’s back is mysteriously healed all of a sudden.

Rams have a closing window and are already 0-2 in the division, to teams 2 and 3 games ahead of them...a couple years into the new building next year as well.
McVey will have a job somewhere 20 seconds after he leaves or gets fired by the Rams...so the future is now and for the next few years for him and the Rams, but yes, massive overpayment.

I would like to see McVays offense if he got to draft his own QB. Also I'd like to see Goff play in a non elite offensive system just to see how much McVay props him up

Yeah Kirk Cousins owes a fair chunk of his Vikings contract to McVey, and Goff has more than enough moments that make you think McVey has to do a lot of coaching and positive reinforcement to keep him from going off on his own and launching a lot more interceptions. He was average at best his rookie year, a big body with a strong arm like many other high round qb picks.
I liken it to the effect Harbaugh had on Kaepernick. As soon as the 49ers pushed out Harbuagh, Kaepernick fell off a cliff playing wise, almost immediately, and it’s clear that the structure and motivation that Harbaugh provided kept him (and many others) focused and in playing in line within their abilities.

#Jaguars first round picks:
2014: Blake Bortles
2015: Dante Fowler
2016: Jalen Ramsey
All three are on the #Rams now...

Apparently Brock Osweiler is retiring today.
Guy made $41,300,000 in the NFL. What a league.

Who's genius idea was it to QB sneak an already injured Mahomes and put him at risk of re-injury? I just couldnt believe Andy Reid would be that stupid.
Also why wouldn't NFL teams use backup QBs to sneak with like the CFL does

All of a sudden 7-9 wins the AFC West. AFC in general just sucks ass. Bills might be our only hope to stop the Pats.

Let's wait until the Pats actually play a real team.

Even the tough games on their schedule don’t look that tough. Ravens defense has declined bigly this year, Eagles might have the worst secondary in the league, Browns and Cowboys are their usual selves, and they’ll probably get the Chiefs without Mahomes. Certainly they’re locked into home field.

Although Matt Moore pulling a Foles would be hilarious.

Supposedly a dislocated kneecap can take 6 weeks or more to heal. If that is the injury as has been speculated.
