It really isn’t. Those players are not on CGY. Do people think those trades will be revisited?

- We need a high end winger to play with Tkachuk and Backlund. For this team to hit that next level, I think that line needs to produce more during 5v5 play
- The powerplay is a joke. While they had some solid possession tonight, they did nothing with it - and that's the best it has looked all season
- Rittich had a rough night
- Giordano + Brodie is a better pairing than Giordano + Andersson, don't force it with Andersson, it'll come. Play Andersson with Kylington for now.
- Michael Stone should not be playing regularly. He's the 7.
- Derek Ryan is having a bad start to the season
Agree with a lot.

I just disagree with the bolded. If Backlund needs 2 elite/high end wingers, maybe he just isnt good enough to be a 2nd line C that's expected to contribute regular offense.

Our C depth is terrible unless Backlund, ryan, Jankowski don't improve immensely.

Janko needs some time off, maybe even sending him to the AHL wouldn't be the worst thing in the world. He's been a joke this year.

Man, Janko smoked Bennett

Lots of goals by Vegas, few of the repeatable sort

Rittich had several 10 bell saves, some that he got a piece of, and a few oddballs

Side observation: when a goalie gets beat cleanly, it is sometimes a good shot, but when he gets a piece, he should have had it. Think about that. There is a lot of absurdity

Fleury is awesome

Edmonton is 5-0

Small sample sizes

I agree that Gio-Brodie should be back together. It seems that Gio's offensive contributions dry up when Brodie is moved off the top pairing.

Peters refused to give Bennett a real chance with Tkachuk and Backlund, but I hope he gives Mangiapane that chance. If that doesn't work, Dube next?

I agree that Ryan has had a rough start to the season. But he did last year as well, so I am trying to ignore it.

Lucic and Bennett could be part of a very useful line, they just need the right C. I still think that Ryan fits the bill (once he gets going)

It’s way, way too early to panic.

That being said, I’m totally panicking.

Brutal game, needed some sandpaper and all we got was wax paper, I liked Gaudreau, Lucic, Anderson and Lindy but the rest were stuck playing blackjack...tomorrow is a new day.

Or there is an admission that the best option for the second line centre is Lindholm. Maybe Jankowski is a decent winger.

What does lamenting that actually accomplish? Who do you want to blame? There is nothing that can be done. It’s just so lame.
All the missed trades shows to me is the guys that BT wanted off this roster, and that he’s now stuck with with since their value has only gone down since the season started.

Jankowski has a fluke year last year on the PK, but didn’t get any better overall, and BT was able to sell a team high on him. Now his value is circling the drain and it would take another player to get that same return.

Frolik may have same value and Brodie certainly has retained value regardless of Valamaki’s injury...but Brodie may still be on the block if they need an asset to trade to help up front now.

Ryan is a slow starter like Iggy

Bennett got a period and a half. Mangiapane had less than one period.

If you want to feel better, I recommend you watch Knights-Sharks Game 7.

It was 3-0. 5 minute major. Haha.

End of the year last year Peter's claims he wants to try lindholm at C. Yet we dont see 1 min on it in csmp.

I just don't get it.

I blame Tkachuk for his absence from camp

When Bennett carries the puck, he does too much and bad things happen. Doesn't that make him the natural RW for Johnny?

Peters is being weirdly stubborn with the first line, and completely manic with everything else.

Why can't Peters pick his lines and stick with them for a few games. The team has no rhythm.
