I'm happy Lucic is standing up for our players but that was definitely a sucker punch.

A buddy and myself who have played hockey together literally thought... This is actually a good loss for the Flames. This team had guys stick out for them like no team in a while (Iggy beating up Mitchell?). Even with the loss I feel good about this team. They will be fine (fingers crossed).

The second line was rusty all around. We do need an upgrade to the top 6, but let's be real...it won't happen until closer to the trade deadline, if at all

Watching this made me realize how much I hated a few of the avs and their s***** fans last playoffs. A lot of diving out there- rantanen was the worst. Zadorov showed his true colours- pretty tough pushing around our smaller players. Put lucic in there and the fake tough guy wants nothing to do with the rough stuff. Hope that punch knocked some teeth down his throat. Lucic is in your face and you are looking elsewhere? Just a big puss.
Flames had a few glimmers, but were pretty bad.

Both.
Flames have rebuilt and have now seen the fruits of their labours had been a top team for all of one (1) year. They fixed a couple of glaring problems in the off season and we are one game deep.
Hey, guess what? Calgary drew the team that crushed them in the playoffs game 1. Meanwhile, last night Vancouver and Edmonton played and technically a garbage team had to get points.
Take a medium to shallow breath if you don’t want to take a deep one.

Outside of the first period, where the team obviously thought they were still playing in last seasons playoffs, I thought there were a lot of good things going. I'm actually not disappointed or worried at all, this team is gonna win a lot of games. Long stretches of dominating play, scoring on the PP, Rittich looked sharp. I just hope they finally threw that Avalanche monkey off their backs now with two good periods to end this game. It's strange how a team can mess with your head like that.

The 2nd line was bad tonight. Frolik should have been swapped with Bennett early on. Hopefully he picks it up. Some really bad plays out there.

100% agree. Zadorov wanted nothing to do with lucic so tried to play all nonchalant to avoid the situation. If he won’t answer the bell then that is what happens.
